From when we entered, it was like being at a family members house. Briana the hostess was very friendly and seated us immediately. She mades a few recommendations which we went with. The brisket was tender, juicy and just amazing and the Mac and cheese was the cheesiest I have ever had. Collard greens were flavorful and portion sizes are great. We chatted with the pit master and the owner, Joe who is one if the most humble people I have met.

First time trying this and place and I completely regret it. My girl and I are brisket lovers but this one was disgusting, fatty, lacked of flavor, a complete mess. Would not tell anyone to go there , the Mac and cheese was cold and looked like it was sitting there for a couple days. Fries were not cooked at all. Server was pretty good, not her fault that this place sucks. I really think that some authorities should take a look into this.

Just spent $18 in this spot for a bbq brisket burger I’ll be adding photos so you can see this mess. They warmed up the burger in a toaster over man. Not even tossing it on a grill. I seen another guy behind the counter no gloves on serving food with his flipping fingers man! Terrible. Richard the cook was extremely polite and gave good service but this meal was 1 overpriced, had no structure, fell apart in my hands. Either way take a look at the photos they speak enough. Avoid

The atmosphere was great, but the food fell short. The ribs were dry, the brisket lacked flavor, and the baked beans were bland. The sweet cornbread was also tough. Hopefully this was just an off day, but it wasn’t the experience I expected.

Their brisket is one to try ! As one looks from the out side one wonders what is inside ! So we came in ! Looks very cozy ! Bar w lights and a section w food cook ! It was raining and loved the comfort food ! From the beans to the collard greens. Great mac and cheese ! Tables and barrels outside entrance ! Looks like BBQ barrels that meat is cooked in! Saw the cook and the greeter a pretty young lady was kind and welcoming! Inside had wooded tables ! If you are in the mood for BBQ try their brisket! Reasonably priced !!

I come here about 2 – 3 times a year, well at least I used to come here. They’re slipping up now big time. Their prices have jumped up substantially from what I remember. Tonight I got the 2-meat (brisket and chicken) which was pretty pricey at $25 a pop (before tax and extras). Well for that much you would think you would get a decent amount of meat. Well think again! They gave me 2 bacon-sized slices of brisket (whoop de doo) with a shrunken chicken breast that was laughably small as well. (Don’t worry I kept receipts.) Its true they must think very highly of their brisket cause they ain’t giving much of it out when it comes to serving size. If your a skinny teen girl or a geriatric you’ll probably be ok, but Im a 6’5 240lb man and I can guarantee you’ll be disappointed with the skimpy portions. Flavor was ok, but there won’t be much to eat, anyway. I also got the baked beans, but your better off going with bush’s beans in a can than this strange concoction and the collard greens aren’t like they used to be either. Sad, this is my last straw with this place, used be pretty good, now its pretty forgettable.

I first saw this place 6 months ago when I was in the area and took a picture to remind myself to go there the next time I was here.
So as soon as I came back, I immediately went there excited to try some good BBQ and review the food because that’s what I do. but I was very disappointed. Keep in mind this was my first meal back from being overseas so I was excited!! I ordered the 3 meat plate. Ribs, chicken and brisket. It came with 1 side so I went with the Mac n cheese. Total was about 30 something. Let’s start on the positive. The brisket was absolutely amazing. No complaints there. But that’s the only positive thing I can say about my food. The chicken had a foul smell like it was days old chicken that was put back on the smoker to heat up. It also looked grey and had minimal flavor. Same thing with the ribs only difference is the ribs were actually well seasoned but again i can tell i was served old food. The Mac n cheese was just the icing on the cake. It was warm but the cheese wasn’t fully melted and there was some runny milk in it. Very disappointed in the food overall. I took my food to go since I’m visiting and was in a hurry otherwise I would have talked to them. But again brisket was spot on, the place itself is very clean but just sharing my honest experience from an outsider/food critic/chef.
If they’re willing to make it right for me by all means I will do another review.

Sort of a hole in the wall dive but with amazing food. All the BBQ is done on site and it is simply delicious. The prices are very reasonable. The staff is great. Highly recommend the brisket and the Mac and cheese.
