Mind Set On Travel
A wonderful dinner at The Majestic and Ted was a great waiter. He provided alot of answers to our questions and gave us good recommendations. The atmosphere was great and sorry we didn’t go when the Live Jazz is going in the basement. The meals we had were just great and we left no room for dessert. Looking forward to our next visit and see the Jazz.

Came here with some work colleagues while we were in KC on business. We were really excited to try the Majestic and made reservation for the jazz club downstairs. The building was very cool and historic, the drinks from the bartender were great, the live jazz was a solid accompaniment to the experience. The service was also very good.
Where it fell short was the kitchen. Two of us ordered the bone in ribeye. Should have been prime grade and dry aged over a month. What we ended up getting were luke warm steaks that were poorly seasoned and didn’t taste dry aged at all. My steak even came with no bone in it. I suppose I might be more discerning as my business travels have taken me to some amazing steakhouses in Omaha, College Station, TX, Houston, and so on. Overall, I’d come back to this restaurant for the drinks and the show, but I’d give the steak a hard pass. For a steakhouse, that isn’t something that should ever be said.

Amazing atmosphere. If you can get there early enough, there is “open seating” at the bar in the lower-level Jazz Club. My wife and I went there at the last minute for a couple drinks and appetizers.
Music was just the right volume; loud enough to enjoy, but low enough to carry on a conversation.
Our server/bartender was Mikey & he was awesome!!!
Can’t wait to go back next time my wife and I are in Kansas City.

We booked a dinner reservation here last minute and couldn’t get a table in the main dining room, so we chose to dine upstairs in the cigar lounge — and what a great choice!
We were taken past the cigar lounge and bar into a separate dining room, where the service was excellent from start to finish. The oysters, scallops, and steak were all outstanding, and the family-style sides (especially the mushroom risotto and green beans) were perfect complements.
The wine list is extensive, the service attentive, and the atmosphere unlike anywhere else. Because we booked in the cigar lounge, we were able to select and enjoy cigars after dinner while sipping cocktails at the bar — such a fun, relaxed vibe.
It was clear that many guests were regulars, and everyone we met was kind and welcoming. I’m already looking forward to returning and trying the main dining room on my next visit to Kansas City!

We finally made it out to The Majestic, and had a wonderful dining experience on Friday night. We dined downstairs in the jazz room, and everything was perfect. Service was top notch & professional. Our server did an excellent job guiding us through the menu. Filet was incredible~sides of wild mushrooms, green beans, and mashed potatoes also amazing. Musicians were fantastic. Definitely recommend for a special and unique dining experience in KC!

Yahtzee! Food is tremendous and the vibe is fun. We like eating in the basement where they have live jazz and a speakeasy feel. The bar staff creates some of the best classics like Old Fashioned and Martinis. I prefer the steaks as my entree but you really can’t go wrong with any choice.

Wow. Where do I even begin with Majestic Steakhouse. I went to book a restaurant near the Loews Hotel in Kansas City for some business meetings. I emailed Majestic (a seamless process) and we got our dinner booked. I was SHOCKED at the service and experience provided. Let’s just say a promotion was in order after our business executives enjoyed a cigar, perfectly crafted cocktail, and delicious steak. I thought we would maybe have a nice room to ourselves. Majestic allowed us to book the entire upstairs venue for everyone to enjoy their cocktails and cigars. We then moved to a historic dining area to enjoy dinner. Absolutely incredible and I know words won’t do this experience justice! We had our own personal server that took excellent care of us all night. Mind you, I’m making this review nearly 9 months later as I’m still raving to everyone about this experience.

My boyfriend and I had a fantastic time at the Majestic! We went on a Monday night for our anniversary and they surprised us with w rose, glasses of champagne and a dessert! The environment alone was enough for us to fall in love with the place. Our server Brett was as good as it gets service wise. Just the right amount of attentiveness, very knowledgeable about the menus and restaurant and incredibly accommodating. The food was absolutely exceptional. We started off with the fried cheese curd and gnocchi app and then we both got steaks, cooked perfectly to med rare, the green beans were crazy good. Couldn’t say enough good things about the Majestic but it is a must visit in KC.
