My daughter and I had an unexpected but amazing first time visit to the restaurant. The atmosphere is inviting, beautiful full bar, and the seating was accommodating for their large servings of food. Because we were in for the first time, my daughter and I ordered the Arabian Breeze Mezza, we each ordered a Lunch bowl (I got the Nicholas’s Chicken Bowl) and Beef Kabob Salad. We took home SOOO much food. The salad itself could serve 4 people.

Not to mention they start by bringing out a tear bread with oil and spices.

We were taken back with each dish brought to the table. My most favorite dish was the Arabian Breeze Mezza… MUST HAVE!

We went here for a late lunch and it was truly amazing. I got the spiced lamb on hummus plate and the hummus is smooth, creamy, very flavorful and combined perfectly with the lamb. My wife’s got some sort of salad with chickpeas and other things in it and it was also delicious. I can’t remember what the french fries were called, but they were definitely home-cut and fried to perfection.

The ambiance is nice. Location is ideal in the service was very friendly and prompt. This is a great little sleeper restaurant that serves way above their price. We will definitely be making this part of our rotation of great restaurants and the beautiful city of Portland, Oregon. Also, this is not a war zone and fascism is bad. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Disappointed with the quality.

Minced lamb on hummus plate left me feeling extremely heavy and sick – it was quite oily and perhaps too much. Hummus itself did not feel premium; it was runny, “mayonnaise” like in texture, and just not what I’d have expected from an authentic rendition. Lamb also felt poorly seasoned and bland, nevermind somewhat soggy and lacking freshness.

Complimentary bread was nice but unfortunately I wouldn’t come back here at this price point. My stomach felt upset after the meal for quite a few hours.

Nicholas Restaurant on Broadway in Portland is a true culinary treasure! The combination of high-quality food, great prices, and a cozy atmosphere makes it an unbeatable dining spot.

The freshly baked pita bread is absolutely incredible-soft, warm, and the perfect companion to their velvety hummus. It’s hard to stop eating once you start! For the main course, the Chicken Breast Kabobs and lamb kabobs are standout dishes. The meat is tender, perfectly seasoned, and grilled to perfection, showcasing their mastery of Mediterranean flavors.

And don’t miss dessert! The baklava is the perfect way to end your meal-flaky, sweet, and just the right amount of indulgence.

Nicholas Restaurant offers an experience that keeps you coming back. Whether it’s for the amazing food, the friendly service, or the unbeatable value, this spot is a must-visit for Mediterranean food lovers in Portland.

Came here with a friend and enjoyed extremely delicious and flavorful dishes. We had the Lamb Shawarma Plate, the Shawarma chicken wrap, and some beef kebbah balls. Every dish had its own unique flavors and incredible sauces to pair with it. The rice was fluffy and supple, the meats were juicy and tender, and the paired vegetables balanced it beautifully. The woman working and serving us was incredibly kind and soft-spoken, and was impressively handling the restaurant seemingly by herself. Highly recommended for some super satisfying food.

Tried this place based on a recommendation, but it didn’t meet expectations. The flatbread they serve at the start was the best part — warm and tasty.

We had the Falafel Wrap and Chicken Wrap, but both were disappointing. The quality didn’t match the price, and we ended up not finishing our food. The ambiance was also underwhelming.

Been a few times. Really great flavor. Unfortunately our portions have been really hit or miss on the minced lab over hummus as you can see in photos. The one by the fork has almost no hummus, as beneath the meat it was just bowl and only the hummus you see is what you get – along with the smaller bowl dish. The plate was a proper portion I would expect so you don’t just wind up eating minced lamb with nothing else (which I did with the bowl).
Mango lassi is really good. The Turkish coffee wasn’t great for us, very very burnt tasting.
We’ve had great service and really slow inattentive service – so also hit or miss. When portions are right and service isn’t bad, I think this is a go-to spot but we have been disappointed the last couple visits.

Got this restaurant specifically for Lebnah. Got it to go, which changes the quality a bit, but it was pure liquid. Absolutely nothing solid to dip into. Would not get it again.

Still our favorite Lebanese restaurant in town. We’ve eaten Middle Eastern food all over the world and this place is so good. We stopped in today for our first time in at least 5 years, and it’s still great.

The lamb is delicious in any dish. Hummus and bread is amazing. Kabobs are to die for!

The owner came out to give our 4 year old some dough to play with, which was so fun. Another reason we love Middle Eastern culture… they love children!

We will be back now that we are back in PDX!
