However, last Friday the service was quite slow again despite the restaurant not being very full. The server was doing her best but mentioned that the bar was behind in getting the drinks out and I looked around wondering who they were busy serving? The place was almost empty.
To make matters worse, the food was also very slow to come out and all of us who got fish were disappointed in how over cooked and dry it was. I brought a friend who had never been and told her she would love it, but to my embarrassment her salmon was bone dry and she did not enjoy it.
My Ahi tuna was so dry that I couldn’t even eat it after a few bites. I’ve attached a photo of the fish on my plate vs your website photo just to demonstrate what I got vs what it should be.
Additionally, my husband sat facing the kitchen and he said that one of the cooks had stormed out in what appeared to be some kind of internal kitchen drama.
I’m not looking for compensation and I am not interested in being directed to your website to fill out a survey. I am genuinely posting this as constructive criticism so that you can hopefully improve. It may be a while before I come back again, if at all. Disappointing because this used to be one of my favorite places to go. I’m starting to understand why it’s been so quiet lately anytime I go.
1st the salmon was tasteless previously frozen coho. (Silvers) not sockeye or Chinook! It 2as over cooked and super dry and tasteless!
2nd the mashed potatoes were old no taste and watery.
3rd asparagus was over cooked dry and super mealy! The ends hadn’t been broken off. So really tough. Overall I was a produce buyer for Kroger and a chef. I could have made the food fresh and great tasting
Do not go here!
I tried to talk to a manager and they are always to busy! How unprofessional not to talk to a customer! I left a big tip anyway because I know waiters are not the chefs.
I was embarrassed because my date complained about everything! The service was super slow. So I did get to spend lots of time getting to know my date .
And even though the food was horrible I got a second date.
No thanks to the Bonefish
I mean what kind of chef would let that old disgusting food leave the kitchen. How embarrassing on his behalf and gives all us chefs since covid a bad name
Given the ambiance, this is our usual and only go to spot for date nights in Marysville.
Whatever she had going on seemed to have ended because she came back to our table for our orders with less attitude. The food was alright. The filet and lobster tail was $44.90 with two signature sides. We subbed one of the signature sides with a premium side to get the bacon mac and cheese. The lobster tail was over salted. The mac and cheese had a liquidy texture so the cheese didn’t feel like the macaroni was grabbing onto any cheese. The corn chowder was good. The caesar salad tasted like any other classic caesar salads you can find. The calamari came with a good sauce that we used to dip our seasonal vegetables in for flavour. And the filet was average.
Overall, the service was average and the food was average with food for improvement. I don’t see myself visiting again since this isn’t a neighbourhood I normally visit, but if I find myself in the area again, id probably visit another place that’s more affordable restaurant.
