Lodge Bread in Los Angeles is such a cool spot! ☕ The vibe is relaxed and creative — the kind of place where you instantly feel the LA energy but still want to stay for hours. The food is excellent, especially the freshly baked sourdough and their amazing toasts and sandwiches. Everything feels wholesome and made with care. And the coffee? Absolutely incredible — rich, smooth, and perfectly brewed. This place is , I came here while waiting for my Yoga class to start. The music is carribean and it’s a vibe. 10 out of 10. There is also indoor and outdoor seating available. Not crowded, a nice spot to come alone or meet a buddy over coffee and good food.

I highly recommend the Avocado Toast. My friend loves the Gold Latte, I get the oat milk latte. I give my dog eggs in a to go box and we sit out on the patio. It is lovely.

Lodge bread is a bakery who puts bread first. They really make excellent baked goods, and whenever we come here we pick up a rustic Olive loaf to take home for later.
Their menu features a variety of sandwiches and pizzas. Prices aren’t cheap but the portion sizes make up for it. I have not been disappointed by any sandwich I’ve tried here.
The star of the menu is the Shakshuka, which they also sell to-go so you can easily make it yourself at home later (just add eggs).
The food is pretty good and the servers are diligent. Seating can be limited and you’re right next to the street (indoor dining is not available). The coffee is just mediocre.

This is one of the best restaurants/bakery that offers gourmet bread made fresh daily! I have been here twice and have ordered a loaf of bread with rosemary and other herbs, and another loaf with whole wheat and covered with rostered sesame seeds that are so fragrant!
They also have a decent lunch menu but you need to order food at the counter. The line can be a bit long during lunch hours but the service is fast. We ordered a few salads and Italian sammies they were fantastic!

Metal spring inside cookie!! What’s worse is that I’ve tried calling multiple times to just make the location aware but their phone line seems to be messed up and they continue to hang up on me. I’m not sure how this got passed quality control.

The bread here is legit, it’s delicious and hearty bread, made properly. There are a lot of varieties of bread, pastries and dough. The pita was by far the most moist and tasty pita I’ve had in my entire life. The turkey sandwich was very good and the pita sandwich was excellent. All the right flavors and lots of textures and colors.
Prices are very fair for what you get.
Coffee was delicious.
Staff very friendly and attentive.
The only reason this isn’t a 5 for me, which is nearly impossible is that parking is a little difficult along Washington street and all of the seating is outdoors, which can be less than pleasant in bad weather.

The cashier shared that they will be expanding into the next building, and I’m so excited to see what they make with it. Lodge deserves its own footprint.
