Best deli in the South Bay hands down. We moved here two months ago and have been to Micky’s at least 10 times. Our favorite is the chicken cheesesteak , but you can’t go wrong with anything here. All the sandwiches are perfectly crafted and made fresh to order. Their pasta is also fantastic. The staff is always super friendly and the vibes are immaculate. Usually places so close to the beach are lacking, but we’ve never had a negative experience here. We will be longtime loyal customers to this no frills neighborhood gem 🙂

Stopped by Mickey’s Deli in Hermosa Beach and ordered the pastrami sandwich — and wow, it was on point. The flavor was absolutely perfect. The pastrami was tender, well-seasoned, and stacked just right with that classic deli taste you hope for but don’t always get.
Everything came together perfectly, and you can tell they know what they’re doing. Definitely worth it and I was not disappointed at all. If you’re in the area and craving a legit pastrami sandwich, this is the spot.
I’ll definitely be back.

Mickey’s Italian Deli is a popular locals spot for some of the best sandwiches in town. We usually order food from Mickey’s when we’re hanging out at the beach. You can order online on their website or on their app for pick up. It’s very convenient.
This place has everything including a deli selling breakfast, pizza, calzones, dinner, pasta, sandwiches, salads, sides, drinks and desserts. Mickey’s also has a little market with alcoholic beverages, fresh prepared foods, snacks, candy, household cleaners, toilet paper, paper towels, beverages, etc. Charming spot right next to the beach! Great location.
Today we ordered the large Roast Beef Deluxe sandwich on a French Roll ($16.75) which is their most popular bread option. Also got a regular Reuben Deluxe on rye with Thousand Island on the side ($15.75).
Placed our order at 2:30pm and estimated pick up time was for 2:55pm. We walked over to Mickey’s around 2:45pm and the order was ready for pick up at the main counter.
Let me just tell you that both sandwich options were so damn good. I got the Reuben and it was full of flavor and great crunch on the different textures. They forgot my Thousand Island on the side but it was fine, still tons of flavor. Got the Roast Beef Sandwich for the kids to share and it was plenty of food for them. Another great sandwich. My brother-in-law ordered the Meatball Sandwich and let us have a bite and that was massive, tasty but so big!
They also have a reward program that is worth signing up for with points adding up quickly. I have 57 points and can redeem for $5.70 off my order.

Mickey’s not only has the best sandwiches in the area they also have the best pizza. The place is just the real deal.. high quality ingredients that are always extremely fresh because they do a ton of business… everything is constantly fresh. And the people who make the food and work inside many of them have been there for decades and the kids are locals. There is a small convenience and liquor store but the star of the show is the deli with slices and whole pies, pasta, and probably the best array of sandwiches you will find anywhere. The Hermosa Chicken is my healthy option but the Pastrami deluxe is sandwich nirvana. I used to eat the chicken with eggplant and red sauce we can do a whole write up just how good their tomato sauce is. Mostaccioli deluxe weighs about 14 pounds and you will take a long nap.. but it is probably the most delicious thing you can get in one of those little round tin pans. Mickey’s is a local icon.. the experience is everything you love about Hermosa and the beach and the food and people are timeless and absolutely the best. If you visit do yourself a favor and get a whole fresh pizza.. thin crust.. I dare you to say that isn’t the best pizza around… because it is.

I ordered the Deluxe Pastrami Sub in a large size, and it was incredibly generous in portion. The sandwich was packed with so many ingredients that it was almost too much to finish. The taste was absolutely delicious and very satisfying. The shop has a lively atmosphere, and the staff are very energetic and attentive, which clearly shows its popularity. When you order inside, your name is called from the outside window where you pick up your order.
Since it’s located in Hermosa Beach, finding parking can be a bit challenging. However, there are 15-minute parking spots around the area, so grabbing a to-go order isn’t a problem.

This is my last Mickey’s summer and I’m not okay. Since 2018, Mickey’s has been my go-to for post-work beach days with my mom, and now that I’m moving to Hawai‘i early next year… it’s officially the end of an era.
If you know, you know: Mickey’s Deli on Hermosa Ave is more than a neighborhood sandwich shop—it’s a South Bay rite of passage. Just steps from the sand between 1st & 2nd Street, it’s where locals stock up before hitting the beach. And yes, you’ll even catch the owner hanging out because that’s the kind of spot it is.
My forever order? The Hermosa Chicken or the Veggie Deluxe—depending on the vibe. Always paired with water and a ready-to-drink cocktail (because I day drink, obviously ). Grab a bag of Kettle chips and a few pepperoncinis from the cooler, and you’re set.
I’ll be spending every 70°+ day here after work until I board that one-way flight. So if you see a black woman with a floppy hat, Kangen water, and a beach chair posted up solo—it’s probably me saying goodbye to this salty little summer ritual.

Ordered two pep and two bbq chicken slices via Uber Eats from here for the first time the other day. Food was delicious and slices were huge.
Best part though – opened the box to find three pep and one bbq chicken. Looked in the bag (thought maybe just napkins/utensils) to find a note apologizing and saying they owe me that slice as well as chips and a cannoli! It was fairly late on a weekday, so explainable, but happy they cared enough to share the extras! Will be back!

I ordered from Mickey’s Italian Deli for the first time for an impromptu family gathering. I needed a tray of sandwiches, bow tie pasta salad European salad and hot pasta dish for next day. Two other well known deli’s could not fulfill my next day order, they needed 24 hr notice and their stores closed at 5pm. I found Mickey’s via Google search. Mickey’ have been in Hermosa a very long time, have longer hours, do catering and took and made my order possible for pick up next day at 12:30 for luncheon. It is a busy place. I certainly will use them again. 5 stars!
