We took my wife’s parents here for their 50th anniversary and we definitely made the right choice.

We were seated promptly at a table with a great view and got just the right mix of prompt service and respectful privacy. The selection of wines and beers impressed my in-laws, including a “not flavorless!” zero alcohol beer for dad.

Our server Kristen (sorry if I don’t have the spelling right!) was kind, attentive, and charming. She made us feel very welcome, and definitely went above the call of duty to make sure my mother-in-law got a good photo of the family around the table.

The food was excellent, the portions generous, and the bill was very reasonable.

We recently hosted a rehearsal dinner at The Marshside for our son and now daughter in law and everything was outstanding! We had dropped off decor in advance to be set up and when we arrived the tables looked beautiful. We had two servers that were dedicated to our group of 41 and they were so attentive and made the entire evening run seamless. The appetizers were delicious and the presentation was just lovely. Everyone raved about their starter of the seasonal soup or the caesar salad. The entrees arrived and the food was piping hot and the portions were huge. It was truly an amazing dinner and the apple crisp or the flourless chocolate torte were the perfect ending to an amazing meal to celebrate the start of the wedding weekend!! Thank you again to The Marshside!!

Some of the freshest oysters we’ve ever had. Also the most delicious quahogs!! Love that they serve them on a bed of thick salt and butter on the side! The shirt rib grilled cheese was to die for. Drinks were also very good. We will be back! 🙂

I have been meaning to try Marshide for awhile and decided to stop in last night — so glad I did!!! I ordered the Chicken Francese and it was delicious. Service was great and the view of the marsh out the window at sunset was amazing! Will definitely be back soon!

Came with a large group and they seated us almost immediately, despite being relatively busy. Our server was great, answered our questions and provided us several options when we asked about his favorites on the menu. At this suggestion, I had the grilled swordfish and it was delicious. It was fresh and flaky, and topped with a flavorful Mediterranean tapenade. I heard rave reviews from others in our group about the scallops. Pace yourself…the bread basket will get you. Bread is hot and soft and you can easily fill up before your meal.

We had a few hours before check in so as I was driving to the Cape my friend researched lunch. Because of our timing most places were about to close so Marshside was a choice of necessity. So glad it was. The interior was all wood with lots of windows showing the beautiful marshes that surround it. Off season so we were seated immediately. The service was prompt and very professional while still personable. The menu was quite eclectic. If we had been there for dinner I probably would have gotten the short rib with an apple cider reduction. But it was lunch and we had dinner plans in Plymouth. I got the Short Rib Arancini served on a bed of mashed potatoes. It was a delight. Crunchy, tasty, and the short rib was very evident. My friend got fish and chips. The crunch was audible. It was a big piece of fish and the fries were obviously homemade. I highly recommend Marshside. A note: I will describe the noise level as quiet but because of all the wood, if it was busy it would be very loud.

We arrived at opening 11:30 and were seated at table with marsh view. Good crowd but no rushing. Food is pricey but most restaurants are. My grilled swordfish tacos were delicious. Also clam chowder ( the Cape after all) creamy and flavorful. Two glasses of Prosecco made me smile all afternoon. Friends and I ate and talked without being rushed. Left good tip.

Wow!
I just got back from an early dinner at The Marshide with my wife, and it was wonderful!
The building is very nice; modern yes, but very tastefully done, with excellent views of the natural beauty of the salt marsh thanks to many large (and spotlessly clean) windows.
The service was very good too, so I was happy about that as well.
It was the wonderful food that put thus experience over the edge into wonderful..land.
I ordered the baked haddock, and my wife got the mushroom ravioli. My haddock was very fresh and delightful, and set in a sauce that complemented but did not overpower the delicate deliciousness.
My wife’s ravioli dish (I had a sample) was also incredible. I realize that mushroom ravioli sounds flavorless, but it was truly incredible! The mushrooms were very flavorful; and again, the sauce for that dish was the perfect complement, it even had pistachios…it all worked perfectly together!
This place is expensive, and gets busy with a wait to eat at primetime, but it is worth it all.
The setting is beautiful, and the chef is an artist. I highly recommend this place.
Hint: Go during off peak hours..i.e. very early supper.

Charming inside and out!

What a busy night it was for this bustling restaurant! It seemed like the entire restaurant was glued to the televisions watching the Kentucky Derby tonight, including staff.

Our waitress was good, but did forget us a few times. Service was slow, but this could have been due to a full house. I had the Chicken Francese, which is apparently one of their most popular dishes. I’m truly unsure of what people enjoy about it. It had no flavor whatsoever and was lackluster other than presentation wise. Garlic, a dash of salt, pepper, and more lemon (which couldn’t be tasted at all) would have done wonders for this dish. The rest of my party enjoyed their food.
