I ordered their new vegetarian pizza in a small. Not only was it absolutely delicious but it was more than enough to eat. My son had their child’s pepperoni pizza and he really enjoyed it as well. We were there with a group of 8 so I was also able to sample their fried pickles, the mozzarella sticks and the fried mushrooms. All 3 appetizers were really delicious. The fried mushrooms would’ve been my favorite though! Not a single complaint could be made on how the food tasted. They even give you little meltaway mints when they give you a check to pay!
Now I will say our server informed us the kitchen had forgotten to make my son’s pizza, so I was a bit nervous with everyone else having their food and making the 5 year old wait… who had already been stating they were hungry and was doing great at patiently waiting (coloring the kids menu, playing with pizza dough, etc…) however, by the time we all got settled in, someone from the kitchen brought his pizza out. So big thanks for quickly correcting the mistake and I was glad to have been informed as it happened.
Overall, the experience was great! Food was delicious, the atmosphere was inviting and pleasant, and the service was nice. Even with a slight mishap, all was still right in the world. Just make sure to have an alloted scheduled time to visit as they are busy and will require some patience if you’re visiting during rush hour. It is such a great family friendly spot, if you have children, don’t forget to request some extra dough to play with! I do recommend visiting Hideaway Pizza in Tulsa Hills.
I got a chicken bacon ranch sandwich but I got halfway through the first one when my mom pointed out that it was pink nearly red at the back of the chicken I told the waiter and he was super apologetic and said he’d let the cook know so I could Have a New one. He came back a few minutes later and said that it’d be done in “5 to 10 minutes” and for anyone who cooks chicken or uses a grill should know that’s not enough time. But I wanted to give him a break since I’m aware his job isn’t to cook I feel bad for him. But fast forward we get the to go boxes and when I get home I cut into the new sandwich and it’s still pink and it was shiny like that raw shine of chicken the fact it happened twice was a shocker and kinda saddening I just wanted a chicken sandwich but it’s a good thing my parents brought home the pizza
My phone camera isn’t the best but you can see the shine of the raw chicken and as someone who has a Massive fear of raw chicken and food poisoning I’m disappointed that it happened twice but I’m not mad at the waiter. I just feel like the manager should have been better supervising the cooking process. Seeing as the cuts of chicken were thick so at LEAST fifteen minutes is what I would have done
Once again I’m not mad just in shock that my luck with this sandwich in the same day was horrible
Lesson learned don’t eat a chicken sandwich at a pizza place
