My rating is for the Tacos Asada and Carbon. They are both very good and have been going here for many years for them. A very few times I have tried something different and I’m always left disappointed I didn’t get the tacos. Tried the chile rellenos (soft) last visit and they were okay (the actual chilli had very little flavor) but will go back to Tacos Asada next visit. Also really like the Horchata from her in the cold metal cups (like old time milk shake blender cups). The chips & salsa are good but the salsa is usually too spicy for my taste.

This Mexican restaurant delivers a confident and satisfying expression of classic dishes, with carnitas and fajitas prepared with care and restraint. The happy hour tacos are a particular pleasure, bright, flavorful, and generously portioned. The pricing feels refreshingly honest, especially given the quality and abundance of the food.
The space is warm and welcoming, complemented by service that is polished yet genuinely kind. Owners and servers move with ease and attentiveness, creating an atmosphere that invites lingering rather than rushing. The steak fajitas arrive juicy and well-seasoned, a dish that speaks for itself without unnecessary embellishment. It is the kind of place where value, flavor, and hospitality meet effortlessly.

Really amazing food, great patio and excellent service! My husband’s enchilada was perfect – best I’ve had in awhile. My steak (carbon) burrito was delish! I brought family from out of town and they loved it too! Great green chile – the burrito was smothered in. The salsa was nice and spicy!

Very nice carnitas (pork). Although the old charm is gone since they updated the business facade to appeal the younger ones. Most dishes remain the same. But some others over use cheese to look more Tex Mex. Is ok but mexican food does not use cheese other to sprinkle on top like on enchiladas and sopes. And he only string cheese it’s on quesadillas. But still good place to go and eat around friends and family, specially since music is not blasting out like at some other places. Well guess you gotta move on with the times.

My friends and I had our Christmas lunch here. Excellent food. The patio when it is open is amazing. The inside is small and the tables are pretty uncomfortable. That is the only criticism I would have of this place. Good service. Great prices. My 4 time in 3 yrs.

I used to come to this place when I was in high school. I am so sad that I haven’t been coming here more often. This place is a hidden gem. It’s been open for about 40 years. The customer service is amazing. I love the fact that they have a variety of servers that are all genders and ages!! Please try the Carnitas because they made my mouth water for days. That salsa with the chips was unique and tasty !!Everything was so delicious!! Can’t wait to go back!!

So this was our first time to visit Pátzcuaro’s, after it being recommended. We obviously had to try the carnitas plate. We shared and the portion size was perfect. The carnitas are absolutely not to be passed on. The flavor was perfect, the spice level was spot on and an all round great meal! We will return! BTW, awesome hot sauce!
Update: so for our second visit we decided to share the Albañil taco plate. The plate arrived hot off of the grill. The steak was perfect, sliced thin and very tasty with the onions and jalapenos. The potatoes added a bit of texture and we’re very flavorful. We will continue to return here, for sure!

What can I say about a place that I’ve been going to since 1987. It’s taste just as good now, as it did when I was a child. I have a habit of bringing coworkers here to eat. I even tell them that if they don’t like it, I’ll pay, and I haven’t had to pay yet. My family knows that Patzcuaro’s is my favorite place to eat, even more so than my mom’s!
