I’ll start with this—I’m a fried chicken fanatic. Growing up in the central U.S., the Colonel was king. My son lives in New Orleans, and you know who wears the crown there. I’ve had plenty of favorites over the years (no names here, because they’re all good), but after this trip to Winston-Salem, I may have found my new number one.

I’d heard about Bojangles thanks to those two British guys on Jolly, so when my son and I wanted chicken, I had to give it a try. We ordered the 12-Piece Chicken Meal, and when we got home and opened it up—wow. The chicken was piping hot, golden, and crispy. The meat was juicy, tender, and even the breast pieces were moist (which is rare). The pieces themselves were large, bigger than what I’m used to from the competition, and the crunch lasted from the first bite to the last.

The sides did not disappoint. The biscuits were light, fluffy, and perfect—I only wished I had extra butter and honey handy. The mac & cheese was creamy, cheesy, and hit the spot. But the star of the sides? The green beans. Firm, not mushy, with that bacon-kissed flavor that made them the best green beans I’ve ever had. Truly unforgettable.

We ate until full and still had plenty left over. And let me tell you, cold Bojangles chicken the next day was just as good—a real test of great fried chicken.

All in all, Bojangles in Winston-Salem served up some of the best fried chicken I’ve had in my (many) years of chasing good yard-bird. If you’re in town, don’t hesitate. Go, eat, and go home full and happy.

I have been to this location several times to purchase chicken tender meal, no tenders, sweet potato pies one day, no sweet potato pies. My last visit was last Sunday 11/9/2025 to take my granddaughter to get a meal before I would take her home to get ready for school the next day. I always sit in drive thru and is only greater by the computer generated machine which said she was getting a person to take my order so when no one answered this young lady gave me attitude becase i kept saying hello because no one answered and i drove around to place my order. One item in my order was the sweet potato pie, which was a special treat that day, they are soooo good (purched from other stores).she said we don’t have sweet potato pies. So I asked why is it on the menu, and she said,” don’t no body want to drop them”. At this point I thought I was being pranked because she said come back around 5 that evening to see if they cook some! So I remained calm drove off and called corporate but they were closed. I hope this reaches the highest level because the food is good but a new leader is needed at this location. I always wondered way the parking lot was always empty. It’s not the food, it’s the people.

They have AI taking your order. So inconvenient, got my order wrong multiple times. At this point id rather order on the app, next thing we know there will be robots cooking our food. Dont appreciate the condescending tones from workers either.

My son and I arrived to the store at 9:15pm on a Saturday night (2/14/2026) and the doors were locked.
We looked inside the windows to find an employee sitting at a table in the café area (looking back at us) while on the phone (no, they did not move to assist) and more employees working in the back behind the counter.
Change the posted hours of operation, or keep the doors open until your POSTED closing time.

Went through this location over the weekend and orders 1 regular Diet Pepsi at 4:16pm. When I finally got the drink it was 4:35. 19 minutes later. Problem was car in front ordered separate orders for the people in the car. There should only be 1 order per car. Divide your money out later when you are not holding up other people. This location has always been slow in service. I am not sure what the problem is but it’s worth it to drive to the one on Lewisville Rd.

The food was excellent, basically made to order. Once I ordered my food, it was getting cooked at that time. It was fresh, crunchy on the outside and juicy on the inside. Customer service was on their A-game.

They have replaced people with an automated system. It gave me the wrong order and it’s too difficult to fix it with a robot. It also took longer than normal. The food was delicious bc it was made by humans service doesn’t exist anymore.

I no longer go there because today for the fourth time within the last month I’ve had the worst service and had to wait in the drive-through over 15 minutes and then once I get up to the window, they took my money but forgot to give me my food. The management here is at a low time Low. And I would not be surprised that they’re losing money each day. There’s hardly ever anybody in the parking lot and they’re always more than enough people. It seems working, but for some reason it cannot get the food and the orders on time.

This is our one-stop we have to go every time we are in North Carolina. We’ve been doing it for 7 years. I am still not happy they discontinued the best sauce they had, but we are still coming here. It’s a tradition. The biscuit, chicken, and Bo rounds were on point today at this location My daughter’s bestie had never been here, so we made it a first time today. She liked it as well. As we knew, she would. I ordered the 4pc tenders with biscuits, Bo rounds, and buffalo sauce. The staff here are friendly. It was clean as well. Family friendly. Dine in, carryout, curbside or online are available.

One of my girls loves loves loves Bojangles!! Whenever we travel down South, I would get her some Bojangles. They will only eat dark meat, and because of 2 mistakes other Bojangles locations made, I always ask for them to double check the chicken in the box to ensure it is dark meat. The young lady at the drive thru was so kind to check, and she was friendly too. The Cajun beans was yummy! Green beans needed some salt. Biscuit was delicious as always. The chicken thighs were a bit fatty. My girl ate 2 thighs leaving me the drumstick, biscuit and beans . The chicken was yummy, too.
