I can’t tolerate going to the Sub Counter at Publix over on University and Johnson any longer, the service is terrible, the line is often long and slow, and it’s run by a bunch of dummies.
Instead now, when I’m craving a nice Roast Beef Sub, I drive a couple of miles east to 441 and Hollywood Blvd to SUB CENTER.
I’m in and out in good time, the meats and breads are of good quality, (I like the wheat subs) And the people there are focused on making a nice sub sandwich.
A nice Roast Beef Sub cost about $3 more here, But I leave SUB CENTER feeling good about going home and enjoying my RB sub, Not all pissed off like at Publix.

I highly recommend this place to all the Sub Lovers out there. The sandwiches were delicious. The bread and all the toppings were fresh and crisp. It was neatly made and wrapped up. I guess my only complaint would be ordering and picking up your food. It can get really busy and convoluted in there. So, at times, it is difficult to order or pick up food. It’s no biggie for me, but it might be for some other people. I’ve eaten Subs from all around the country in Delis, chains, and local joints…….oh I forgot Publix .

There’s a lady that look like she may be a little slow. She just was super rude. All I said to her was I haven’t ordered yet because I noticed that everybody else had ordered just so she didn’t think I ordered already and she says “ok? I’m still handling them”
The Man That’s there was told by the woman to take my order because she didn’t wanna take it and he was the nicest person even when he seen that she was rude as well.
I got my food and the bread was burnt but other than that, it was good.

I love this place. Food is great. Workers are amazing. The only problem is they never have peanut butter cookies. I’m a barely have any cookies left. If you get there past 7 o’clock, but all in all everything is great there I just wish they would get the cookie situation handled.

Not worth the wait or price… the cheesesteak meat was fatty and it had no taste… the place was crowded and the ordering system is confusing… there are no signs to indicate where to order and where to pay… the space is tiny so you are always in the way and have to be moving around… the place is very old (not in the vintage way) and gives a dirty vibe… so if you are picky, it won’t be your cup of tea. The price was high for a footlong with no combo and no taste, about $15… total time there was about 25 minutes… parking was also a nightmare, the area is really tight so parking a full sized truck is not friendly. Unfortunately, I won’t be going back and I strongly don’t recommend. It’s worth mentioning that the staff was nice.

This place has been here for many, many years. I believe that since the 60s, it has always been family owned, and believe me when I tell you it will not disappoint you. They have in my opinion one of the best places in Broward County to have yourself a fresh delicious Authentic sub in the area it is by far my favorite place to have one they also have great tasting cookies. Staff is very friendly and all the food is very fresh you won’t be disappointed you can call ahead or order online as well.

Sub Center on Hollywood Blvd & 441 is an absolute gem. The food is consistently fresh, flavorful, and made exactly how you want it. Their Philly cheesesteak is insanely delicious — perfectly seasoned steak, melted cheese, and a toasted roll that brings it all together. You can tell they don’t cut corners here.
The staff is friendly and quick, and the portions are more than satisfying. The only downside is the tight parking, which can be a little annoying, but once you take that first bite, it’s completely worth it.
If you’re anywhere near Hollywood Blvd and 441 and craving a legit sub or cheesesteak, this place is a must-stop.

These are the BEST subs you can eat in SFL. My brother lives in north Florida and when he’s in town, the first thing he wants is Sub Center. Been coming here since 1999. Highly recommended.
