The Missing Piece
So we have been here multiple times and love the food. Today a few things weren’t as good as normal like the pineapple, that is usually so good and crystallized but today it taste like cinnamon powder not sweet and crystallized. The Pichanaã was amazing as usual. As well as when we were seated we waited about 15 minutes before we were treated and offered water and a plate. As soon as Erin got ahold of us she made sure we got everything we needed. Cheeky made sure to fill any and all request we had. They are true assets to your team and I hope to see them next time I come.

I’ve never seen a better salad bar in a Brazilian steakhouse before. I usually ignore and go right for the meat but the uniqueness of the spread had me giving in – chicken stroganoff, apple salad, candied bacon, and so much more. Then the meat started coming and coming. Perfectly prepared and so full of flavor, all served by very nice workers. This is an excellent steakhouse, family owned and friendly staff. A must see!

The food and service was top notch. Tried several protein options and the salad bar was well stocked. Servers were super attentive. Great wine list also. Only complaint is the atmosphere. I’ve seen others comment on this and it is an issue. The tables are way too close together even though they weren’t utilizing over half of the tables not sure why they had to crowd us all in. The seating is similar to the seating at a Asian buffet. They could do so much more especially with the price of dinner. I would go back but I will wear super casual clothes and probably go with my buddies rather than a “date night” due to the informal atmosphere.

I made reservations three weeks in advance for a party of over 20 people, yet the restaurant was completely unprepared to accommodate us. What should have been a special and enjoyable experience turned into a frustrating and disappointing night.

There was clearly not enough staff. Only two meat servers came around, sometimes every 25 minutes, and they rarely had enough meat for everyone at the table. This meant several people in our party sat there watching others eat, waiting for the next server just to get a small portion. For the amount of money we spent, this was unacceptable.

The salad bar was extremely basic and underwhelming. To make matters worse, there was only one server assigned to our entire party. Drink orders were taken, but some guests never received their drinks at all.

Overall, we left feeling disappointed, frustrated, and unsatisfied. This restaurant does not deliver the experience it promises, especially for large parties. I would not recommend booking here if you are celebrating a special occasion or bringing a large group.

I just had such a disappointing experience. My husband and I were out celebrating 20 years together. While making the reservation, we were prompted to share if we were celebrating something special during our visit and we included that we were celebrating our 20 year anniversary. When we showed up at the restaurant, no reference to our anniversary was made at all, the entire time. Which is fine, but why would your system ask if it’s not even going to be acknowledged. But no biggie, that honestly doesn’t even impact my rating, I just think it’s an important thing to note just in case anyone else is hoping for some sort of acknowledgement, you’re going to be let down. When we walked in, the restaurant was about 1/3-1/2 full. We were quickly greeted by our server who grabbed our drink order. We got up to make our salads. I was thoroughly pleased with the salad bar. It had plenty of options and toppings. The balsamic glaze dressing and candied bacon were really, really good. I tried a bit of most of the salads/sides. The brussel sprouts were yummy also. We sat down with our salads and immediately flipped our coasters overto green. Our server came out with our water and rolls quickly. We waited for probably 10-15 minutes before we were offered our first cuts of meat and that trend continued. We were cut very small portions, which is typically fine because there are many to try and you don’t want to get filled up on one thing, but the amount of time that went between getting your next cut of meat was absurd. I joked that we were going to be there all night if we ever expected to get full. The meats were delicious. They were well seasoned and flavorful IF you got an outside cut of the steak. If the outside had already been cut away, you tasted nothing but meat. No smoke or char or any real flavor. The bacon wrapped steak was the second meat we were offered and it was my favorite, but we didn’t get another piece until just before we were about to leave and by that time, we were full so it was just disappointing that it was taking so long to get meats we really enjoyed. Additionally, the amounts of meat that were being brought out at a time was annoying to me. For instance, the bacon wrapped steak would be brought out with about 8-10 pieces but there were about 50-60 people in the restaurant so if you did see something you liked and it was taken to a different area of the restaurant, you could guarantee you weren’t getting any. The table that was sat next to us had a woman who was talking to someone on speakerphone for about 10-15 minutes and I know that isn’t the restaurants fault but I have worked in restaurants before and someone who worked there should have asked her to step away from the dining area. Especially since there is only about two feet between each table. It felt uncomfortable to try to have a conversation because everyone was so close. We had to get ourselves our own water from the silver jug that was left at the server station because after the first 20 minutes of our meal went by, we didn’t see our server again at all. We had to ask the poor girl who was taking care of the tables near us for more rolls a few times and our check at the end of our meal. For 20% gratuity being included, I would expect MUCH better service. We have been to a bigger name Brazilian Steakhouse before and I remember being in awe of how amazing the service was. If you’re expecting that same kind of experience, you will certainly be let down. I definitely don’t feel like I got $64 worth of food or service myself, let alone $153 that ended up being our total bill. We both had water with no appetizers or desserts. It took so long to get meat that we just left our coasters on green the entire time. And if it wasn’t for the rolls and salad bar, I probably would’ve left hungry. If you’re going to pay this amount of money, take the extra trek to King of Prussia, Philly or Baltimore and try Fogo de Chao. I’m highly disappointed and would 10/10 NOT recommend wasting your time or money. I wish we wouldn’t have wasted our anniversary dinner here.

Very delicious! The bathroom is nice and clean, the salad bar is fresh, and there are many things you wouldn’t expect to be at a salad bar, but it is very good! The steaks and different meats are delicious and tender. I highly recommend this place, but would recommend not eating before hand, and also not getting much from the salad bar, because they will keep coming, and you will feel guilty to say no only because those meats look so delicious!

The M.O. of this restaurant is pretty obvious… minimize cost by trying to serve as little actual steak as possible… and it’s affecting their entire operation.

It seems obvious that this place is in a downturn, probably managerial or corporate driven. The biggest issue is that it’s a Brazilian “Steakhouse” yet of the first 4 meats that were brought out only one of them was steak, most were pork, and that 1 steak dish was bacon wrapped and tiny. I don’t eat pork so I was basically just waiting around and finally had to ask one of the meat servers if they could bring around more steak dishes because I don’t eat pork.

Finally getting some steak servings as the restaurant started emptying out around 7:30 on a Saturday night (not a good sign), and then the meat service got extremely slow, with somebody coming around once every ten minutes or more with some kind of meat and again the pork dishes were coming out most.

Ultimately we ended up sitting there for awhile because it just took a long time to get full as it seems like they’re just trying to wait you out on the meat service hoping you’ll go back to the salad bar or get more sides or something, and this is where the place is starting to lose it. It seems as if a lot of the negative reviews have something to do with reservations not being honored, but honestly that’s probably because people are staying way longer than they would have if the place would just pony up the meat at a faster rate instead of penny pinching.

Overall it’s just really obvious that some corporate/management level decision was made to operate in a fashion that they think saves money, but instead is undermining their ability to serve more people and provide a experience that people will return to pay for again.

Dont let the outside fool you! Upon entering we were promptly greeted with a friendly smile. The ambiance was set to casual elegant with the dim lights, the decor, the bar area was nice with the marble-esq tabletops. Beautiful. We were seated right away. The tables are a bit close together, but we still enjoyed. The wine and drink selection was beyond remarkable, I opted for a mocktail, the pimeapple upside down drink. You have to stir it to get some of the sweetness, but it was good. The salad bar was fresh and stocked and good. There were also selections of soup, vegetables, and rice, that was good. We didn’t have to wait too long before the meat started. We didnt care for the chicken, but everything else was mmmmm delish! Other hot sides were grilled bananas, polenta and roasted potatoes. We had the potatoes and they were good. Our waitresses Kristen and Nicole were wonderful. They checked back often. The meat servers also did a wonderful job to stay on top of the rotation of food. Our 4 yr old loved it as well. I cannot remember the one cut of steak that was my fav. But it was tender with the seared crunch around the edge, mmmm perfect! The owner, Pam, even walked around to meet and greet at the tables. It was a pleasant experience and we will be back.

I brought my parents here expecting a nice experience. But turns out it was the worst experience. Hospitality and service was a 0/10. Made reservations for 7:30pm didn’t get sat until 8:00pm. A server never came to our table the general manager was our “server”. Our drinks came out when we were done eating. And to top it off the general manager spilled water on my sibling. The whole experience was horrible and to think they couldn’t even discount the bill. I will never be back!! 0/10!!!

I was somewhat disappointed on our last visit. We took our neighbors with us for their first visit. Seating was too close to the other tables, which was unnecessary. After finishing our salads and sitting there for a while, we had to ask when they were bringing out the meats.
I will say that the food was excellent, the gauchos were very pleasant. The young ladies that usually come around to offer new plates needed to be more present. My husband had to collect plates at one time and grab new ones. I had to ask a gaucho to send someone over to refill water. This was not our experience in the past at the previous location in Delaware. When you automatically include the gratuity in the bill there is no motivation for anything but mediocre service. When you are paying over $300 for dinner, I had hoped for more. The food was excellent, but the service should be reevaluated.
