We went on a Saturday night, the kitchen was behind about 45 minutes. Once we got in it was fine. We had the seafood chowda which was really good! We had the deviled eggs which were great but needed a little paprika. The grub bacon was awesome- sweet with a kick of black pepper! The Philly was delicious. The fried apples were also very good and the farmer was my husbands favorite.

Went there for dinner and tries Uncle Same burger with beans and rice, I know weird combo but the beans and rice was delicious and I was hungry for it. For the burger I ordered caramelized onions on the sandwich and the beef patty I requested well done. The beef patty definitely needed some seasong and could have been made a bit more flavourful, however I’ll be visiting again to try another food option from the menu.

I went on a Saturday, the most popular day of the week for restaurants and was sat immediately. I tried to order multiple items and they told me they were renovating starting the next day and did not have the item each time. I wished they would have placed a note on the door with this information and maybe printed out a limited menu. Every time I tried to order, she told me they didn’t have an item. She did go to check on items multiple times. I don’t know if the renovation was planned or a last minute decision either way this could have been executed in a more organized manner. Food was ok not rave worthy 3 stars for bad planning and mediocre meal.

We ate lunch at Grub Brothers today and this was our first visit here. I wasn’t impressed on looks when we first walked in, but was quickly won over by our wonderful waitress. We decided to go with the firehouse burger and the voodoo burger for our entrees and had the voodoo shrimp (sweet Thai chili sauce coated on fresh fried shrimp) (delicious ) and clam chowda for our appetizers. The clam chowder was good but seemed like it was missing something (maybe cream?) but the clams were cleaned and prepared perfectly! The chips with with chowda were seasoned and crispy. The burgers were juicy and the toppings were fresh. The fries were absolutely done right. Crispy on the outside and mashed potato-y on the inside. I got the Boo-co style fries; with cheese, bacon, and gravy (kinda like a poutine). All around, an absolutely perfect meal. We will definitely be back again!

I came for the waterfront but decided to grab a bite to eat. I have not been downtown Lil Washington in so long. This place we chose was fast and the server was really nice. They give you plenty of food that’s worth the money. I wanted to try everything on the menu, so that lets you know I will be back.

We enjoyed a nice lunch here today, the restaurant is located on a quaint street just a short walk from the waterfront. There was just a short wait to be seated, and our server Cody came to our table quickly after we were seated. She told us the Daily Specials and answered any and all menu questions we had since this was our first visit. She was very polite and helpful, she had several tables in our area and I noticed how she kept a constant check on each and every one. We ordered one of the Daily Specials which was a SoftShell Crab Dinner with 2 sides and we also ordered the Rajun Cajun Pasta. Both meals were served hot and fresh with just a short wait time. The crabs were cooked well, lightly fried and tasted fresh and not overly greasy, the pasta dish was delicious, you have a choice of protein with your pasta (Blackened Fish, Shrimp or Chicken) tossed in a creamy Alfredo like sauce with bacon, mushrooms, peppers and green onion. Both meals were a good portion to be filling without having any leftovers. The restaurant was clean as were the restrooms. We enjoyed our lunch and would stop by again if we’re in the area.

Great place to eat, right next to the theater. Extremely friendly and attentive staff. Had the Philly Cheesesteak, the Cajun Pasta, and the Club. All of them were really good. The best thing was the hash brown casserole! That was stellar.

My husband and I split an order of peel & eat shrimp as an appetizer. Omg. So good. The old bay and butter complimented them perfectly.
I had the catfish po boy with a side of pasta salad, and also added a side of cinnamon apples, with sweet tea to drink.
My husband got the Cajun catfish with pasta and had fries on the side, because we were dying to try their come back sauce.
Literally everything was perfect. I have never had catfish that was breaded and fried so lightly and beautifully, with just the right amount of crisp. The pasta salad was exactly what I was expecting, and the apples rounded out my meal with the perfect amount of sweetness.
It was divine. ☺️ I can’t wait to go back.

The burgers here are great but the chicken salad club is the one for me. Really good chicken salad on toasted bread with fried green tomatoes and crispy bacon, perfect. Also make sure to get a side a gravy with your fries, you won’t regret it. The okra and tomato stew is delicious as well. This is a nice local hangout and the staff offers nothing but great hospitality.
