Bartender says last thing she wants to do is be at work, instead be in bed with her cats. Well-go do that because outside of putting drinks in front your customer service skills are a zero at best.
Me to bartender: can I be Served? May I have a napkin? No drink coasters? No straw? No 2-minute roller, no water refill, never checked in once, not only me but no one! No busing plates for your customers. I felt even worst for the others at the bar spending much more than I did and not a second conversation. Maybe short staffed, not 100% sure.
P.S. manager was great but can’t change the overall experience. This is no reflection on everyone else I saw working hard including the manager.

We sit down wait 15 minutes for the Server to show up and when she does tells us she will be right back as she has a big order to get out to a group. We said ok no problem. 15 more minutes roll on by and we see her taking someone else’s order that arrived way after us. She then comes to our table puts 2 napkins down and keeps walking on by saying she will be right back…she then walks right by us another 6-8 times…we are approaching 45 minutes at this point and NO ONE has even bothered to take a drink order. No Manager in site at all. We will never go back to this poorly ran Applebee’s as thier really is no excuse to completely ignore people and not even make a simple attempt to get even a little drink order…it was ONLY 2 of us.

I didn’t get our waitress’s name but she was fantastic. Excellent suggestions & so very attentive to our table. The spooky drinks were delicious, but at $7 each could have had at least a decent amount of alcohol in them & not been mostly a glass of ice. The nachos were excellent. The dollar margaritas were also tasty & a good value, but again, not very strong.

When we were seated at our table, there was a long wait time for our sever to come to our table. We had to tell someone we had not seen our sever.
After we ordered our food ( salads). While we waited for our food another party came and was seated next to us. They ordered their food and their food came out before our salads. We still waited for them.

Is there a zero option… only reason I am guessing they get service on Monday’s is because everything else is closed?
1. Had to ask for our silverware and waters, got an app but no plates? Never asked after we needed anything, needed ketchup and salt and pepper
2. My friend wanted just a grilled cheese and they have a grilled cheese hamburger so she asked for it without meat and the bartender looked like we were speaking a foreign language.
… okay all this is fine BUT her sandwich was cold, the cheese wasn’t even melted. This is the best her soup was cold as well. The bartender didn’t apologize for it being cold, said she would go get a plate to re-heat it (um cross contamination, her soup had already been ate out of, so what about everything else that goes in there, what if she had some weird disease)… she literally just reheated it (still cold) and at that point we were done. I asked for to-go containers for my salad and she didn’t bring me a container for my dressing… sorry took your ramekin… better training for your staff ♀️

Server would not give my daughter some sugar packets. Mind you my husband and I ordered coffee and we’re never asked if we wanted cream or sugar. She didn’t bring any plates for the appetizers. Overall the waitress was the worst I’ve EVER had. Rude as hell.
We will stick to New Ulm Applebee’s.

Laura our server was incredible. She was funny, attentive, and knowledgeable. Very impressed with this visit, she made me laugh when she was shocked at the age on my ID. 11/10 right there. Give this woman a raise because I will be back!!

It’s always a little bit dreary in spirit here, but everyone’s smiling and the ones who are happy to serve make-up for the passive agressive ones. I adore management, and the ones that probably are outshadowed by others need to be seen. Either way, it’s not a popularity contest… their food is EXCELLENT. Only thing to note to corporate is that they trendingly have raised prices, and the meals get smaller. Great food and hit or miss service is okay, it’s better then superb service with sub par food, ha! Thanks for being my goto for the good stuff!

Update: I have given them a few more chances and 6/10 times more food order is messed up. How can you mess up wings??? They come HALF plain almost every time. They were even worse than the original photo before… I really wanted this to be our regular date spot but the food quality is constantly all over the place… time to make our regular date spot a different place in town…
Update: They wanted a chance to fix the issues so I gave them another chance. The food this time was hot and my wings were more covered. A server brought my mozzarella sticks to a different table and then tried to bring it to us. Our waitress immediately said “The no touch table rule, please get them new ones”. This Applebees has the best waitresses across the board! I have been to many many restaurants and you that usually they one have a couple good waitresses/ waiters. That is not the case at this business. The whole wait staff in general is great at what they do. I hope the kitchen can continue to put out better food so the wait staff can get the tips they deserve! Great service AND great food. Thanks Applebee’s for making it right! We will be back again.

I love Applebees! It is my favorite place to get late night food especially because it’s half price. It’s Applebees so I expect sub-par food in general which is another reason why I like it. You come in without high expectations. The food tonight didn’t even hit the subpar line for me sadly. My husband and I got honey BBQ wings, hot wings and mozzarella sticks. The BBQ wings weren’t fully sauced so some of them were dry. The ranch container was really small compared to other Applebees which sucked and you only got 2 pieces of celery. All the food was warm, not hot which was unfortunate. The service on the other hand was great Irais was our server and she was very attentive while working 5 + tables. Overall the experience was okay due to the sub par food not even meeting the subpar line. Also the bathroom was dirty.
