used to like this place until I found out how unhygienic it is. They don’t fully wash their silver wear before putting it out on tables and the manager Kim continuously yells at waitresses over the smallest mistakes yet says nothing about the expired food that is being served or the uncleanliness of the silver wear and other dishes. A man I know was allergic to gravy and they wiped the gravy off with their hand and a paper towel and gave it back to him. This is a truly unprofessional establishment and definitely needs new management

This place is absolutely phenomenal period it has small town vibes. The waitresses are super friendly. Happy and chipper. The energy is chill like a old school family diner. Food is off the charts hands down best breakfast spot in sedro!

Awesome place for really good food. Always packed. Great service from staff. Big portions to fill you up an individual or family. Love the family gatherings on Sunday. Just an excellent place to eat and enjoy breakfast. Also the sourdough is bake homemade along with pastries.

What a wonderful quaint place this is!! Feels like I’ve gone back 50 years and in a good way. The town was quaint with the old fashioned downtown, parking right in front. The restaurant was decorated nicely and very homey feel. The pastries in the display case were HUGE.

We stopped here on our way to North Cascades National Park for breakfast. We had the classic American breakfasts – an order of oatmeal, and order of eggs, sausage, hash browns and toast. They were all very delicious and exactly as you’d expect a traditional American breakfast. There is nothing fancy or pretentious about this place or these dishes. They stuck to the old American tradition.

Breakfast is the bomb here! The cooks do a great job in cooking and serving delicious food in just the right amount of time. Service is top notch here. Olivia our waitress was the best. Made us feel at home every time we came in.
The omelettes are huge and delicious. The coconut pancakes are like nothing I have had before. My husband is officially addicted to them. The espresso is also on point. They have fresh baked bread they make right in house too. The Reuben sandwich was one of the best I have had with perfectly cooked fries. The prices are reasonable for the portions you receive. The staff is very attentive and friendly. The restaurant and bathrooms are very clean. We are here visiting from out of town and wish we could have a place this good where we are from. But then again we would gain a ton of weight if this place was a regular of ours. LOL Definitely recommended!

This is the premiere restaurant in Sedro. Nothing fancy, just classic American diner food done very well. I’ve eaten at this place for 20+ years now and the food is consistently great. The menu is simple and everything tastes homemade. The prices have always stayed reasonable as well.

One of the best breakfasts I have had in a long time! The chicken fried steak was so flavorful and crunchy, and the home made sourdough bread was a delightful dream. And don’t even get me started on the cinnamon roll, I nearly fainted it was so good. It has been 2 hours since we finished our breakfast, and we are still talking about it and probably will be all day.

Fantastic old school joint. Absolutely amazing food served up like an old fashiond American Grandma would make it. Love their biscuits and gravy. I can barely handle a half order. May have to go there for breakfast now since Google popped up this review request. Really can’t beat them for the price, service, food, and overall atmosphere. You wish your town had a place like Joy’s.

So worth a trip to this charming old logging town. My son and I chose to split the waffle special plus hash browns and it was more than enough.

Super friendly, efficient service and bakery items that were impossible to pass up.

Pictured: the apple waffle special with bacon. Pumpkin muffin, cinnamon roll, and apple caramel strudel.
