We have been eating at Las Margitas for over a decade and it has been amazing everytime. Today however we got to try out the new to go drink containers and they are amazing! They have truly thought outside the box and revolutionized to go drinks! Thanks Las Margs!

I love the arroz margaritas. The service is fast. It would be great if there was another margarita size that met in the middle between regular and jumbo. It’s fun to pay a quarter to get a handful of fish food pellets from the dispenser inside then go out into the outdoor seating area to feed the fish in the pond. The size of the catfish that came up from the bottom was surprising the first time we did it!

Wow . Excellent fajitas!! The flavor was outstanding. Also had the cheese and jalapenos dip and chips. Tasty. Add to that I tried out their hot tamales without any sauce over them. They were moist and delicious. Coming from a family that made homemade tamales, I can tell you these are some of the best I have tasted in Columbia. Beans and rice also tasted good. Better flavor as some Mexican restaurants don’t focus on those sides. Service was friendly though I would have liked a bit more attention. Took a bit to catch my server’s eye on drink refills. Now let’s get to the ambience of the place. Wow again. Outside patio seating overlooks a body of water with a beautiful sprouting sprinkler system. This is a large restaurant, capable of handling large groups. There were several groups of 8-16 at tables. I watched as all got their food almost at the same time. Hence, the chef and kitchen staff know what they are doing. Heading over to the bar area they have a large assortment of tequila and frozen margaritas. Highly recommend Las Margaritas!

We have came here multiple times and today was just disappointing, I ate a burrito which was cold ate it anyways because I was starving, my sisters burrito picture down at the bottom, her food was cold and her tortilla and meat was burned, my moms food was cold. The queso on top was dry so from experience looks like the food was left on the expo line for a hot minute. We waited over 30 minutes for food and a table who got seated after us got their food first, we had to ask where was our food. After we got the food server never came to check on us and it was dead as well barely busy 😐

I just did a pick up order. Today, I ordered the beef enchiladas, re-fried beans and rice. So here is my complaint: the beef in the tacos appears to be boiled, ground (many times) and mixed into some kind of slurry with about the same pasty texture as Gerber baby food that I use to feed my kids (but with the addition of a few heaping doses of SALT). In short, it is more like a salty paste than ground beef. This is no exaggeration. For some reason I go to Las Margaritas a few times a year (mainly because it is close to the house) and most (if not all) times the food seems very subpar for a restaurant of any stature. Somehow I keep thinking (hoping) that management and personnel have changed since my last visit. In short, I have no intentions of going back. Also, I want it to be known that I seldom complain about anything, but their food seems very substandard in my opinion. In fact, I cannot recall any restaurant that I’ve eaten at that was as bad as this one. The only question I have in my mind is: how in the world do they receive any favorable ratings?…..Rant over…

This place is a staple of Columbia culture, well established and you can tell. The best part of our visit was our waiter, probably one of the best waiters I’ve ever had, he was quick professional funny knowledgeable all the good adjectives. I got the arroz con pollo which was absolutely fantastic as well as the strawberry margarita which was huge and slapped. We also got a “try a bit of everything” platter which was actually kinda disappointing. If it hadn’t come out lukewarm I would’ve given a 5/5. We ended our visit by feeding the fish in the lake, such a fun experience for the whole family I couldn’t recommend this place enough!

This place gets busy for a reason. Solid value for above average quality Mexican, in typically large midwestern portions. Scenic view on a lake next to a new residential complex, a good one that’s also sure to improve over time. For a table outside get there on the early side – at 730 on a Friday, you can wait 45m for a two-top. Kind and attentive service. Not buggy.

Great Mexican food in Columbia!

The restaurant itself is quite spacious with a bar in the center of it, and an outdoor eating area looking out over the water.

The day we went, it was very busy and we got seated after about a 30 minute wait. However once we got the food, it was definitely worth it. I got the Carne asada Burrito which I would highly recommend! Others in my group got fajitas, and that’s what I’ll be wanting to get next time. They bring it out on a hot cast iron plate, so it’s very fresh! In general, everything I tried I liked. And for my Mexican family to say this was good Mexican food in Columbia, I’d say this place is worth a visit!

I was in a hurry, so I sat at the bar and ordered a chicken taco salad. I went to the restroom, got back and it was there! The chicken meat was super juicy & flavorful! A nice dollop of Pico, sour cream, and really tasty guacamole! The bar tender was very friendly as well. I will definitely return!

Well this place was a hidden gem. Started to go to the downtown location with absolutely no parking due to a university next door. Went to the South Hampton location and was pleasantly surprised. The chimichagas are perfect. The Margarita I had was the best I have had at a restaurant. Salsa was spot on… Give this place a visit…I will be back…
