We’ve eaten at Los Carboncitos (both Sheridan and Pecos), the food is excellent every time. They have a large menu with lots of authentic options. The surface is very good and they have a good atmosphere. Great selection of margaritas. They also have a salsa medley, with 5 different salsas, excellent!

Went around dinner time. Was pretty busy. Whole side of dining room was taken over by a huge group of like 20 kids and adults. Seemed the staff focused all their attention on that group and the service towards everyone else was nonexistent. Asked multiple times for refills on drinks and chips/salsa that we never got, only got one set of silverware, never got salsas for our tacos… just really an unpleasant experience. Guess I know now if there’s any big group in here, I should take my business elsewhere.

I live in the neighborhood close to here and get takeout here twice a week (minimum). In my opinion it’s the best Mexican food in Denver which is saying something. I’ve yet to get anything on the extensive menu that hasn’t been phenomenal. The staff is absolutely

I’m on the hunt to find amazing Mexican food and this place almost has it.
I got the Al Pastor tacos and the meat was a little crispy for my liking it, but it was very flavourful! The staff were amazing and my margarita was sooo strong and good!

This is such a gem of a restaurant, and some of the best Mexican food in Denver. The food is delicious, and you can tell all of the ingredients are both fresh and high quality. The salsas that come as an appetizer are amazing, and are a perfect preview to how flavorful (and spicy) the food is here.
We had the carne asada tacos and the chicken fajita burrito, and both were amazing. The meats were seasoned well and cooked perfectly.
Service was fast, friendly, and attentive, and the house margaritas were excellent – not too sweet. Highly recommend this spot!

Food and service was amazing but beware that a 15% gratuity fee is already being added on your bill without disclosure. Colorado law requires that any mandatory service charge be clearly disclosed to the customer in writing before they are charged. I also tipped on top of that and when i asked for the bill i seen that a 15% was already being added which is likely illegal since its not being disclosed until after your payment is processed…

I stopped in for an early dinner after seeing the positive reviews. The food was tasty with large portions, the service was excellent, and they bring you a lot of extra salsas. All of the salsas were flavorful and had some kick to them so be aware of that as nothing is really mild. I’d recommend this spot to anyone who enjoys good Mexican food.
