This place is an absolute gem whenever I visit town! They never fail to impress! It’s hands down the best Indian food around, bursting with flavor and always fresh. The portions are so generous that I often end up with two meals in one sitting! Every visit is a delicious adventure! This is a spot you will want to check out!

We used to visit every week when it first opened. The food was so unique and flavorful! It’s been a while, but we went back today, and they still keep the quality of their food. Best North Indian restaurant in Seattle.

Review on Delivery order – Decent but not really fresh. Even when I called them asking them to make breads crispy, they really looked undercooked and raw and full of thick all-purpose flour. Portion was also underwhelming and really not worth the cost. Here are the things we ordered:
Dal Maharani – decent flavor, can be reordered but a bit oily. Oil was really floating a lot on the top.
Vegetable Malai Kofta – good flavor but doesn’t really have the malai or creamy flavor.
Lachha Paratha – undercooked, very stretchy, didn’t like it much.
Garlic Naan – very thick and undercooked again, very less garlic and didn’t seem like fresh.

We found this gem leaving Toledo bar on Hayes, smelled so good from the street we nearly floated in here like a looney tunes character. Service was prompt and immaculate, flavors were out of this world, portion sizes generous. The garlic naan is not to be missed and the size of at least a kindergartener. It’s easy to see why this place has been voted best Indian food in the pnw 3 years running.
Photo of cleaned plates and musical atmosphere were all I managed in my post meal elation.

A great place on a cold day – food will warm your tummy. Chai is soothing. If you fear the pungent spices and flavors of Indian food, this may be the place for you. They have kept the core and essence of good Indian cooking and toned it down for the exploring palette.

First time trying Mother India and will be back! I forgot to take pictures of our spread but the food tasted so good. We ordered the Dum Bhuna with lamb and Tangy Mango with chicken and they were very different and so flavorful. The waitress was very attentive and checked on us through the meal. The garlic naan was pillowy and garlicky. The paratha was flaky and crispy. My favorite way to end is with an order of gulab jamun and it was one of the better flavored gulab jamun I have had so far.

Large food portions, complex flavors, and fantastic service. Had a wonderful conversation with Ripa, our server. Roti and Naan portions are larger than average, same with entree and rice. Good value, great food, great service.

Very good Indian food restaurant. Really good friendly service (Ripa). Portion sizes are good, especially so at the price point. Reasonably priced, especially considering the quality of the food.
We are visiting Seattle, and like to try out different places when we travel. However, well go back here before we leave.

The food was pretty good, they don’t ask for a spice level. There is a bit of a spice but it’s not overbearing. The flavor was great. The staff was friendly and pretty laid back. The atmosphere was a bit dull with Bollywood music videos playing. It was a decent hole in the wall kinda place. We would go again.

This place was amazing! My partner and I received our food very quickly, within 5 minutes. The masala Chai was delicious and warming. The chicken I ordered was tender and very good. The rice it came with was light and fluffy. Even the naan was noteworthy! Super fluffy and perfectly toasted. Best around. The portions were large and prices are reasonable. Mother India is bound to become my new favorite Indian food spot.
