One of our favourite places to eat! We love coming to The Dunkirk for a nice meal, and it never disappoints. The food is always delicious and the staff are friendly and welcoming. We visited for Sunday lunch for the first time as a party of 4. One party member is gluten free which I put on the booking details. The same day I was contacted by a member of the Dunkirk to discuss his allergy and talked through what he could eat and what the chef would do which was really great! Would definitely recommend if you have allergies. There’s a great choice of meats, fish and sides – something for everyone. We’ll certainly be back!

Excellent Food and reasonably priced. Friendly service but felt we waited too long having ordered drinks at our table. Nonetheless will defunct be coming here again.

It’s hard to find a place these days that offers both great food and excellent service, but this restaurant had both. We went for the Sunday lunch, and it was absolutely delicious. The service was outstanding every member of staff was super friendly, attentive, and efficient. The food alone would have been enough to bring us back, but the warm, welcoming way we were treated by the team truly made the experience exceptional. We’ll definitely be returning!

Food was really good. Service was top notch and the atmosphere was quite nice. Just a bit hard to get to the restaurant through the bar if it’s busy.

It was a birthday weekend celebrating 96 years of my father in law. He lives locally and recommended the Dunkirk from previous excellent experience. We had a 5pm booking so we were early diners between us we had, Rumo steak, liver and bacon and fish & chips all beautifully served and very satisfying. I also had the Pigeon salad which was delicious. There was a slight delay with service but the staff were very helpful and friendly. Tue car park was full when we left.

The menu is amazing so much choice and nothing is ordinary it’s all very intriguing and a little bit different from the standard food stuff you see on menu’s. The food is outstanding the service is impeccable the staff are very well groomed and extremely pleasant & helpful. They also know the menu very well too so will talk you through it.
I’ve eaten here twice now both times found the food absolutely sublime. Very tasty and well cooked and thought about before being placed on the menu.
The surroundings are very pretty the decor is clean and well presented.
The only thing I think is a little bit of a let down is the prices are high.
You need a good £40 to £50 to eat and drink here.
£11 for a large wine but the food is worth the price for certain

Called in for Sunday lunch, as a party of 6. Absolutely flawless throughout. The quality and presentation of the food was outstanding, however the level of service is what really stood out for me. So many members of staff, and each one clearly trained to the highest standard. A wonderful experience, already planning on returning!

Fabulous pub. Usually seated downstairs which is nicer than upstairs- staff more attentive and better atmosphere.
Fantastic food and lovely people! Great value for the quality.

They let us share the vegetarian option as we were walking and didnt want a full meal. Fairly typical Sunday roast with a tasty beetroot Wellington which we really enjoyed, thank you. Tell staff to offer the vegan menu as well as we weren’t given this until we questioned availability of meat free option.

Good food at decent prices. The cask ale selection was better than I’d expected. Friendly and attentive staff were very welcoming and the food was served with plenty of time between courses.
