It’s been awhile since I’ve been to or had this incredible chili dog sauce that they make & it’s better than I can recall. They certainly have perfected it. But, they also grill up tasty & flavorful hotdogs which are then only complimented by that sauce. My Dad claims it by far the best in all the nearby counties & he just may be right. I wonder how many agree?

It was our first time there today. I got 2 dogs with chili, mustard and onion. They were delicious!! We also got cheese fries. There were a ton of fries with a mountain of liquid cheese! Also… super friendly service. Since it was our first time there, I had questions. Everyone behind the counter was smiling and happy to answer anything we asked. I got two containers or their chili sauce to go so i can try to duplicate the dogs at home but rest assured we will be back! ❤️❤️

I feel like the interior is a little dated. But I feel like this is where you go for that original hot dog shoppe Margie dog. The cashiers are always awesome. Welcoming but not over the top. Always have someone wiping down tables and keeping things clean. Love it.

Needed to eat lunch…stopped here. Food was ok. Hot dogs were stacked up on the grill already cooked…so niot fresh sizzling when served to us. Fries were luke warm. Milkshake was mostly milk, some ice cream.

These are one of my favorite foods ever. I will drive from Columbus Ohio to get a few dozen. Will freeze them and reheat. I will buy a quart of chilli to separate and freeze for future use. I was born in New Castle and have been there so many times over the years to visit and always stop and get some. Love the old school diner like booths. I always have good service too.

Saw a Coney Island dog place and was excited to try it. I really like a good hot dog. I ordered the plain chili dog and an order of chili cheese fries on recommendation from the counter person. I also had a chocolate shake.
When the order arrived, it was pretty disappointing, nothing more than store bought hot dogs and store bought buns. Really, the hot dogs at Sam’s Club or Costco beat these by a mile, for less money. I hope the owner reads this and changes to a quarter pound hot dog and some specialty buns. Check with Sysco or another vendor because the dogs you’re serving are nothing I would go back for. The fries were ok, but they put cold shredded cheddar and it never really melted. Not the greatest. The chili wasn’t bad as it did have a little zing. The best part of the meal was the shake. It was very thick and creamy. That might be enough to get me in there again, but I won’t be ordering a hot dog or fries.
$2.99 seemed cheap for a hot dog, but I realized that was overpriced upon receiving it. I prefer Costco at $1.50 less.
Very disappointing.

I have loved this place since I was a child! Has always been my favorite Hot Dog shop in a city that was once considered THE Hot Dog capital of America! The only reason for the 4 stars instead of 5 was that my dogs were barely warm while my fries were piping hot. Other than that, this will continue to be my one and only dog stop in town!

Name should be PHONEY ISLAND. Fool me once, shame on you. With “Coney Island” in the name, I expected a real all beef hot dog. We had to ask if they were beef hot dogs, and were told no.. Sadly we already paid or I would have cancelled the order… It’s basically bologna.. Imagine our surprise when we received toddler sized microwaved or boiled hot dogs in mini buns. Everything about the hot dog was barely room temperature. A 10 year old can make a better dog in their microwave at home… The fries were decent. I got a chili dog, I was looking for the chili, all I got was brown liquid, that was flavorless and cold. This restaurant is an embarrassment… Do not bother. Waste of money. You can make a real beef hot dog on the grill or even in a pan on the stove at home that is way better than this.
