Very small Cajun themed diner with a small storefront. Think Cracker Barrel type but much smaller. My Gumbo was very good with great flavor. But the shrimp in my jambalaya was overcooked. Other than that I really enjoyed my meal. Located directly across the street from the Southern Hill’s Marriott. So an easy walk from the hotel. I’ll be back for sure.

This is a gem for Cajun lovers in South Tulsa. Great food and blues bringing ambience. Love the selection. The buffalo frog legs are amazing – tangy, flavorful sauce that is spicy but doesn’t blownyour palate. My go-to entrée is the Crawfish Mac & Cheese that comes with two stuffed chicken wings. Service is not incredibly attentive, but super friendly.

This is a great place to eat lunch or to buy specialty meats. Totally authentic thanks to the owner ED who is from Lafayette. He came out and took our empty plates off the table at lunchtime. Super nice guy and friendly staff also. You can get Turduckens here but I lived buying the quail in the frozen section for dinner at home. Will always come back here for lunch and spices.

Here is the good, the bad, and the ugly. The good is the place was very welcoming and offered many of my favorite Louisiana favorites in their market area. From stuffed chickens, Boudin and crawfish by the pack.

The presentation of the food was the best part of my meal. You can tell they take time to place your food to be eye appealing. Which is very important to me. Also the portion sizes were adequate for the price.

The bad and ugly kind of go hand in hand. As a person who frequents Lousiana frequently my taste for frozen seafood is not my cup of tea. The season was nice but the seafood just was not upto par. I could definitely tell that it was frozen. The catfish was good and cooked well but the shrimp was not that appetizing. The rice was cooked perfectly. 3/5.

The crabcakes were small but I didnt expect much for $11. The flavor of the crab did not push through as I would have desired. 2.5 out of 5.

The fries. Had just the right crunch and seasoned well. 5/5

Nice quaint Cajun restraunt with food you feel was made at home by family.

The red beans and rice were good, loved the Cajun fries, and the catfish po boy hit the spot.

They have all the Cajun favorites to include boils and kings cake donuts.

Seat yourself. Table service. The restaurant is very clean, roomy, comfortable. Bayou, Louisiana, New Orleans, and Mardi Gras, themed decorations all around. Every type and brand of Cajun seasoning known to exist is available to purchase. A freezer and refrigerated display case has other food items to go.
Start your meal with the fried Boudin balls. The best item on the menu. Big balls of spicey deep fried Boudin with a smokey remoulade dipping sauce. These are addictive.
I ordered the combo. A half, fried catfish Po’ boy and a small bowl of Chicken and Andouille Gumbo. I was hoping for blackened catfish, but the waitress said “no can do.” They don’t do blackened anything. The Gumbo was very greasy, not a lot a flavor. A good application of Slap Ya Mama, brought it to life. A good size piece of catfish with a little shredded cabbage and the smokey mayo made for a tasty half Po’boy. It was a good combo meal.
My wife had a nice small side salad with a cup of the “Low Land Gumbo,” It was generously filled with crab, shrimp, chicken and Andouille sausage. She liked it. It had a strong fish taste. Too strong of a fish aroma for me.
So much for the clean floor. The you lady waiting on us had a little trouble handling the bowls of Gumbo. She left a trail of Gumbo grease from the kitchen to our table. Check the pictures. And watch your step on the way out.

Cajun Ed’s, also known as Southern Scratch Kitchen, hits all the right notes when it comes to delivering that comforting, down-home Cajun flavor. We stopped by for lunch and took full advantage of their specials—chicken sausage-stuffed wings, etouffee, Cajun fries, mac and cheese, dirty rice… you name it, we tried it, and not a single dish disappointed.

The food was top-notch, each bite crafted with care and bursting with flavor. Even my jambalaya, which was a little cold, still managed to pack enough taste to keep me happy—no complaints here!

The service? Friendly and warm, the kind that makes you feel like a regular even if it’s your first time there. The décor had that welcoming, Southern charm, bright and inviting, just adding to the whole vibe of the place.

And the price point? More than fair for what you’re getting—tasty comfort food that doesn’t break the bank. Honestly, I wouldn’t change a thing about the experience. It’s a solid 5/5. If you’re craving some authentic Cajun goodness, this place should be at the top of your list!

Food is good. But every time me and my husband come in to eat. No matter how many other families come in after we are always served last. I’m here right now. Me and my husband having a late lunch and there was a couple here and 2 came after us. We both order fried baskets 1 chicken one fish and was served last. I will not be back. Yes the food is good but obviously my skin color is not good enough

We travelled out of state and picked Cajun Ed’s. We ordered jalapeño peppers and hush puppies as starters and then the crawfish Poboy and shrimp boil for a meal. Everything came out at once. We had to ask for tartar sauce for hush puppies and melted butter for the shrimp . No extra napkins, even though we’re eating with our hands, We had to go up to the counter to get our drinks refilled. The oil is old and it needs to be changed. Batter was dark brown. Everything was overcooked. Good price for food. Service was lacking. Even if you had something with wrong with your food, you wouldn’t have been able to say anything until the check came. MIA….

This hole in the wall restraint and market has great seafood boils. The crab legs were nicely seasoned, not too overwhelming. The service was a little slow but we got what we needed. Eill definitely return.
