I had an absolutely wonderful time tonight. My boyfriend and I went out for my birthday and it was incredible. They got us right in and the service was quick, kind, and lovely. Our server Lonnie could not have been nicer. She listened to all of our requests and was so kind and patient the entire time… even when making up our mind was difficult. The food was incredible and the atmosphere was so cozy. They brought out a cake with a candle and sang happy birthday to me and were so down to earth. We had an exceptional time tonight and I could not be more grateful. Lonnie is absolutely wonderful and whoever goes should definitely request her service!

We have gotten takeout from here for a while and have always loved the food. We recently dined in the restaurant and it was wonderful. The food and drinks are delicious (especially the Espresso Martini Affogato). They have a number of great gluten free options and are very careful with gluten allergies. Our server Erin was so friendly and attentive and made our experience even better!

Fantastic. If it’s not on the huge menu, they’ll very likely still make it. Infinite possibilities with house made and imported dried pasta. You want carbonara? They’ll make it. You want this pasta with that meat but with this sauce? They’ll make it. Very attentive staff too. Very reasonable prices in today’s market.

What a find! After a stressful day running errands in Newburyport, I wandered into Giuseppe’s for the first time and instantly felt better. A super friendly staff member welcomed me, gave me the lay of the land, and showed me their incredible market full Italian specialties including fresh pastas, sauces, heat and serve meals, deli meats, salads, cheeses, desserts, and wine. Seriously—it’s foodie heaven.
I was torn on what to try from the take- out menu, but another staff member came to the rescue and recommended a pressed chicken arugula panini with apple, gorgonzola, and fig jam. While the food was being prepared, I shopped around and bought a little of this and a little of that. The staff were pleased that I enjoyed my time there.
When I got home and bit into the sandwich….WOW!! Hands down one of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had. And my family couldn’t have been happier with all the goodies I brought home!
Giuseppe’s turned my stressful day into an amazing one. I can’t wait to go back and try even more next time!

Great food. Plenty of vegetarian options. Their homemade pastas are amazing and they just melt in mouth. All the dishes that we ordered were delicious. The portion size was good as well. The service provided by Cindy was great.

Prompt seating, quick service, and a comprehensive menu with almost any Italian dish you could imagine served–as well as a takeaway market in-house for tomorrow’s lunch and hard-to-find pantry staples (dry salt-brined capers!) for a great value.
My husband had the pasta alla vodka, substituting pillowy gnocchi for the linguine, and I had the salad de la casa with additional shrimp. If you can eat and enjoy shellfish, I cannot recommend that choice highly enough–those half-dozen scampi-style shrimp are some of the best scampi I’ve ever had and they tied the salad together perfectly. Despite the fact that we stopped here for a quick bite to eat on a driving-heavy day of travel, Giuseppe’s made our early dinner feel like date-night luxury with the quality and comfort of our meals. 10/10; we will be back! ♡

Another great meal!! Had more than these salads but once the food arrived it was all about eating not photos. One of the salads had a cucumber or zucchini bowl!

Wow. I’ve driven by this place so many times & finally stopped by. I wish I had stopped by sooner. What a wonderful experience. The atmosphere & music brought out my Italian roots. Our waitress & hostess was so kind, knowledgeable, & attentive. The food was authentic, homemade, & absolutely delicious. I recommend stopping by, you will not be disappointed. Enjoy. Giuseppe’s is the best Italian restaurant in the North Shore area. The food, service, and cozy atmosphere have brought us back for multiple visits. During our most recent visit, we ordered a lovely bottle of wine served by our spectacular waitress, Jess. She provided us with outstanding service and made suggestions throughout our meal.
The menu is large and features classic Italian dishes as well as sandwiches which we have yet to try. Our favorites include the bolognese and their various ravioli options. The marinara sauce is delicious and is seasoned well. Save some of their soft, warm bread to dip in the sauce throughout your meal. Their mozzarella sticks, although frozen, really hit the spot. Luckily we are far from snobs. If a mozzarella stick has that satisfying cheese pull, we are happy.
Check out their large market to bring some snacks or meals home. People have made comments that the restaurant has gone downhill after the new owners took over. However, this is not the case, the food and friendly service has not changed at all. If you are looking for great authentic Italian food then this is the place!
