Social Profile:

Botiwalla by Chai Pani is chef Meherwan Irani’s homage to his life-long love of kababs, Irani Cafes, and the late night street food scene of India. With Chai Pani, Meherwan captured an aspect of street food in India often referred to as chaat – savory, multi-textured snacks like bhel puri, sev potato dahi puri, and vada pav. But the street food scene is vast in India and with Botiwalla, Meherwan is diving into another of his big loves – grilled meats, flat breads, fresh herbs, and wraps. This is the scene that springs up at night in India, when the grills come out, the fires get lit, and late night revelers and commuters get fed.

This is a fast casual (counter ordering & table delivery) Indian Street food restaurant in West Asheville. This was my first experience after enjoying their spices for some time. The restaurant is comfortable and features a vibrant decor. Some on site parking is available for free. Food is fresh, food was quickly delivered, and the staff super friendly. The menu is limited to the most popular dishes. I had the Desi salad with chicken tikka. It was accompanied with a cilantro lime dressing. It was so good that I ordered an extra one to take home for my husband to try. My only recommendation is that they need to bottle and sell this dressing, it’s that good. Highly recommend for eating in or take out.

This restaurant is my constant go to! Best Indian cuisine in the Asheville area. And if you’d like to cook, visit their boutique Spicewala for your own home cooked Indian dishes. The food is always consistent and great! Personally, I always order the tiki marsala wrap or the bowl with sustained packaging.

Casual place with counter ordering, indoor and some outdoor seating, really delicious food and friendly and helpful staff. My husband and I both loved what we had. It was all very flavorful! I had the Desi Salad with Chicken Tikka and an iced chai and my husband had the Chicken Tikka roll and the lime Ricky. We shared the masala smashed potatoes. The dipping sauce for it was really yummy so we bought a bottle! It was sweet with a nice bite! We really recommend this place and wish we had one of these in the Jacksonville FL area where we live!
Botiwalla, please open one by us!

Stopped in for a quick bite before getting on the road home! Had the paneer tikka masala roll and crispy okra fries. All well spiced! It was snowing that day and my friend and I both received some free chai with our meals 10/10

A fan of Chai Pani, it was fun to pop in Botiwalla while visiting Asheville from Washington, D.C. Order at the register and then find a table in one large dining room. For lunch, we ordered two of their chaats, chai, and a raspberry gin rickey. Everything was very tasty. The chai is a tad sweet without overdoing it. The rickey is like a slushy with booze. So good!

Our go to for Rolls and other street food while heading back home from the mountains… I hail from Calcutta, the origin of Kathi Rolls, and the Rolls at Botiwalla, though not with the traditional Paratha rather with fluffier Pita bread, is good enough… Love the Malai Chicken and the Lamb Tikka Rolls… Have been there many a time, and will go back for many more!

If you are craving some Indian street food, this is the place to go! We ordered chicken tikka roll, vada pav, and some fried gobi. The vada pav was amazing, and they even have some spicy ketchup that goes so well with it!

I got this order to go but it was delicious. I happened to be up in Asheville so it was a great idea to pick up India food. I frequent the west Asheville location because the yoga studio I practice at is right there. I love the desi salad and the wraps are so good as well. I highly recommend you try this place. They are always consistent and the quality is always there. Now you need to open one in Hendersonville please.
