Today we celebrated my mom‘s birthday at the Osaka in Riverdale. We had Jasmine as our server and Chen as the hibachi artist it was so fun. We had a wonderful time. Lots of laughs wonderful food and very great service from Jasmine and she was so sweet and kind and had beautiful jewelry and nails that her auntie did. And Chen was super funny and fun and lovable. What a wonderful time. Thank you love Brittany and family. We even got cute little stickers, kitty sushi stickers.

I think we came on a night they were short staffed because we had to wait a very long time for a chef to be available. The staff did a good job of refilling our drinks during that time and even brought us a complimentary appetizer for the wait. They did a great job handling being short staffed.
Once the chef arrived the show began! The food was amazing, seriously good filet mignon, lobster, and scallops!!! Very impressed with the food quality!
Overall, well worth the wait and I would absolutely come back here!

In short, my experience was below average.
The food was not seasoned at all and the veggies weren’t cooked thoroughly, I was a definitely disappointed with our chef. I came for my friends birthday and we told the chef and all he did was give the birthday girl 1 free shrimp…. the restaurant didn’t sing happy birthday or even gave her a shot/dessert.
I noticed a lack of enthusiasm from our chef. We only saw one trick, the onion tower. I’m use to a more lively and entertaining experience at hibachi restaurants, with more tricks and guest interaction. Additionally, the sake was very watered down.
Overall, the chef’s performance significantly impacted my experience, which is why I docked two stars.

We waited for over two hours before they finally served us and we had reservations. While the food was still good, they did nothing to accommodate us even after asking to talk to the manager, she never came to our table. They did give is a free round of drinks…at the end. I usually don’t complain, but I think 2 hrs is a little bit much. I will say our waitress tried.

Kenzi and her besti are the best servers I have had since precovid! Kenzi was varey friendly personable attentive and I really injoyed are conversation.How ever the Mens bathroom was descusting it smelled reely bad and needs some paint and reparirs along with a good deep cleaning.almost makes me woder what the kitchen is like? And if the emploeys wash there hands? However if i Owned the place i would give her a rasie and promation. People could learn alot from her and she will have a blessed futcher. Also the out side of the resterant could use some work but aging i want to thank kinzi for an unforgetable dinning experance that you do not find anymore.when i go back next time i want to hear about her raise and promotion and if not i will find here a beter job personaly becues she dezervise it

In short… it was awful!
We haven’t been here since before Covid, and that is when it was great!
The chicken breasts are huge.. which means the chickens were grown too quickly and not good quality.
Some pieces of the chicken were not of the same texture and undercooked.
The veggies were not good throughly and very crunchy.
I was not impressed when the chef was trying to toss broccoli into people’s mouths. When it comes to 1, or two times is acceptable. But when you toss 5-6 pieces at an elderly lady, it’s not funny, he basically threw the food at her. She may have laughed but you could tell she wasn’t in to it.

We ordered delivery from Doordash and the food was delicious. Our order of sushi rolls came in one tray with a ton of soy sauce and spicy mayo on the side. We also ordered the house combo fried rice. Only disappointment was the shrimp and veggies tempura. It cost $19 for 5 shrimp pieces and like 4 veggie pieces. Other than that, food was great.

Great service and great sushi. Never had a bad experience with anything we have ordered. The hibachi tables are so much fun too… They sing on your birthday, do fun tricks, and interact with you in such a way that makes you feel you’re the only table there! The sushi bar is great to sit at for that little extra attention.

Rice was cold, vegetables were not cooked all the way, i had pieces of plastic with the chicken and told the cook, and he said just put it on the side of my plate. I had to yell to get the servers attention to refill my drink and they put us at a table already filled and had to wait 15 minutes for more people to Come to the table in order to be served. I will never step foot in that restaurant ever again
