Loved this place! Great Italian restaurant, all the dishes were quite good! I think they do their red sauce is better than others. But great service and nice restaurant.

Had a wonderful dining experience at Sulmona.
The Veal Masala was outstanding — incredibly rich in flavor and beautifully balanced. The veal was tender and juicy, and the sauce had great depth without being heavy. The combination of mushrooms, prosciutto, and spices came together perfectly, making every bite satisfying and memorable.
The service was equally impressive: warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming throughout the meal. From start to finish, everything felt thoughtful and well taken care of.

We scored a last minute reservation on a Friday evening using Open Table. Great experience! The food was promptly made and served, and was served while hot. The porchetta is fantastic. The ambience is modern and yet warm and inviting. Give Sulmona a try!

Funghi Pizza was excellent, Cacio e Pepe was ordinary. Nice spot to grab dinner

My husband and I just went here with our 4 year old and had the best time. The food was delicious (we got the lamb skewers and 2 pizzas) and the table they gave us was cozy. The best part by far was the service and kid-friendly nature of this place. We were offered a high chair, water in a cup with a lid and straw, and a piece of dough to play with while we were waiting. We will definitely be back and look forward to coming with friends. They can accommodate larger groups, which we will keep in mind for the future too. Thank you, Sulmona, we had the best family outing thanks to you!

Sulmona in Boston offers a delightful dining experience with exceptional service. Our server was fantastic, recommending a great wine to complement our meal. The Caprese salad was beautifully presented and delicious. Though the artichokes were slightly overcooked, the attentive server promptly addressed it by removing the charge. The pizza was a perfect ending to a satisfying dinner, making Sulmona a recommended spot for Italian cuisine in Boston.

Sulmona provided a brunch experience that exceeded expectations. The ambience was enchanting, with a perfect balance of rustic charm and modern elegance. The moment I stepped in, I felt a warm and inviting atmosphere. The diverse menu offered a range of brunch options, and each dish was a masterpiece of both presentation and taste. From the delectable avocado toast to the perfectly brewed coffee, Sulmona crafted a brunch that lingered in my memory. The attentive service and cozy setting made it a truly amazing dining experience. Sulmona is a brunch haven worth revisiting.

Go for: Arguably some of the best pizza and pasta in the city, and a laid back, classy spot that won’t break the bank.
Avoid if: You’re on a low-carb diet.
Something surprising: The interior design deserves more attention than it gets.
Reservation needed? Usually for lunch, maybe for dinner Monday-Thursday. A bit easier on the weekends when the business crowd dissipates.
Overall Experience: 4/5. The food is fantastic and it arrives at your table quickly, but we’ve felt forgotten after the initial order. If they could work on customer experience, this could easily be one of the better restaurants in the Boston area.

Torn between a 3 and a 4. The service is generally very good and the cocktails are execellent with a good selection of well crafted espresso martinis, classic boulevardiers, and fruit forward options. The food is fine but not particularly noteworthy. Our reservation for 6 was very clearly placed at a table for 4 so we were a little squished and to people got the table crack spot. The table of 6 next to us had a normal 6-person table. It can feel drafty if seated near the door. The plates are nice for sharing.
