My friend and I went here for Valentine’s Day. We hadn’t made plans because we weren’t celebrating the holiday, so we had no reservations. The place was packed. The hosts were busy coordinating reservations that went as late as past 11 pm, as they were open until midnight. They were kind in their greeting and offered us space at the bar, if we could find it. We couldn’t. As the wait time was over an hour and a half, we left to go somewhere else but decided to return a little later to check back at the bar. We found some seats that had just been cleared, so we saddled up for a chill time with chopsticks and great ambiance.
We were greeted by the friendliest, most energetic bartender I’ve ever had the pleasure of interacting with while dining out, much less when a place is that busy. She had a smile for miles as she walked us through bar suggestions featuring her alcohol favorites. The reason we rallied to try again at Hapa was that my friend has a serious gluten issue with his severe celiac disease and has never had a problem with their dedicated menu.
The gluten-free menu is extensive for such a specialized diet, automatically paired with their gluten-free soy sauce. Since we were sharing our samplings of sushi, sashime, salad, and sake, I went ahead and ordered from that menu as well. I didn’t taste any difference in my experience. Our servings were well-timed with salad, main dishes, accompanying sake and wine… and, again, our awesome bartender sharing company with us, a truly gifted gal of service.
If I tried to recommend this place more, I’d sound silly. That said, thank you for one of the best Valentine’s Day, un-Valentines evenings I’ve ever had! We left happy with our choice for the night and full in our bellies!

I have been coming to Hapa for years and usually it doesn’t matter which location I go to, food is always good. This was not the case this time. Came in around 1pm and was the only person there. I ordered 2 rolls and a couple sushi pieces and it took 30 minutes to get my food. When I got a Negihama roll, there was BARELY any hamachi. This is a go to roll I always order and I know it did not look right. I also got a hamachi crunch roll and it did not taste right. The avocado had more black on it than green and tasted foul. Being 1 o clock in the afternoon, that avocado was definitely from the previous day or longer. Super bummed with this experience and will probably never go back. The server I had was nice and so was the host. There are plenty of other sushi spots with better quality. I would steer clear.

Stopped here for a quick bite on Black Friday because… Shopping makes you tired and Hangry. Host Casey was very accommodating to my service dog and sat us in the perfect spot. I had the Dragon roll and a hot socket, hubby had the Philly. It was the perfect break to a busy day.

I recently visited Hapa Sushi, and I must say it was an excellent experience from start to finish. The service was outstanding, with our server being both friendly and efficient, making sure we had everything we needed without ever feeling rushed. The sushi itself was absolutely delicious – each piece tasted incredibly fresh, with no fishy aftertaste, which can sometimes be a concern at other places. The variety of rolls was impressive, and it was clear that they use high-quality ingredients.
The ambiance of the restaurant was also worth mentioning. It was clean, well-organized, and had a warm, inviting atmosphere. The music playing in the background was a vibe, adding to the overall pleasant dining experience. It’s easy to see why Hapa Sushi has such a great reputation. Whether you’re a sushi lover or a first-timer, this place is definitely worth a visit. I’ll certainly be coming back again soon!

We come to Hapa in Cherry Creek fairly often and the service is consistently great. On my last visit, our server Elliot was fantastic He was friendly, efficient, and really easy to talk to.
Also want to give a shoutout to the host (tall with glasses). He’s always warm and welcoming when we come in and does an excellent job making people feel comfortable right away.
Great service overall and one of the reasons we keep coming back.

Hapa is one of the best happy hours in the cherry creek neighborhood! Solid (not blow your mind) sushi for pretty decent prices. We get some of the HH sushi rolls like salmon avocado and then add stuff like cucumber and Jalapeno to jazz it up a bit. The sake bomb is the best booze deal, and im partial to the geisha cocktail (pictured here!)

Delicious, fresh sushi in a beautiful setting. There are options for everyone including gluten free and vegetarian items. There is a full GF menu available. Drinks were balanced and refreshing. We had plenty of time to enjoy ourselves, but I do recommend making a reservation. Street and garage parking is available near by.

What a fantastic (fintastic?!) spot. Service was splendid, thank you Manda and your trainee! The gluten free menu was plentiful and the food all came out with a little sign to ensure clarity. The quality of the food was superb! We sat on the patio and really enjoyed the experience!
