We had the amber jack tradition tikin xic and it was our favorite meal of our vacation. The service was great (friendly and attentive) and the setting was gorgeous. It takes 45 min for the chefs to prepare the dish, but it was worth the wait! Especially because we had stunning views and could walk along the beach and pier while we waited.

Very disappointing experience.

When we asked to pay by card, we were told that only cash payments were accepted, so we had to pay in cash. However, just a few minutes later we clearly saw a guest at the neighboring table paying with a card using a terminal.

This looks like a deliberate attempt to mislead customers. If you accept cards, be honest about it. If there is a fee or special conditions, explain them in advance. But telling customers that only cash is accepted when that is clearly not true is unacceptable.

After this experience, it’s hard to trust this place. Very disappointing.

We loved this place and I am picky. We had guacamole, mixed seafood ceviche and the ticinxic ( traditional with black grouper ). Drinks , service , food , everything was amazing and we had leftover fish for our family of three , we ate the leftovers for dinner and it still tasted great. I am sad that we have to leave and we won’t have a chance to go back. I don’t have enough good things to say about this place. If you like fresh seafood this is a must !!

Best Tikinchix fresh bone-in fish. Served traditional style and over an open charcoal grill. Served with tortillas, cabbage, cilantro lime rice, and salsa with limes. We had the angeljack and it was amazing.

Reminded me of what we ate ~15yrs ago on the island. Service was great and attentive. Beautiful presentation and drinks were great as well. The gin and tonic was so pretty. Highly recommend if you want a full fish fillet. We had 1 kilo and was more than enough food for 2 people.

Worst place. Service arrogant and unfriendly. Coconut was 150 ~ 7€ approx and we got this. We asked to change but nope. Then they did not speak with us. Tourist trap!!

My favorite restaurant! Food was amazing both times we visited (lunch and dinner). We fell in love with their pico de gallo and guacamole years ago! Both have so much lime flavor! The grilled garlic shrimp has me dreaming of going back already! The four of us liked all our food and the wait staff was great! My favorite place for Hibiscus juice!

Very good tacos, pretty beach location, with WiFi. Prices approx 200 pesos for tacos per variety, or 850 pesos enough for two people. Beers 75 pesos. Told the tip should be 15-20%, which is cheeky considering the prices are already “Western”.

We stopped here on the isla driver Robby tour and the food was amazing! We had the mixed ceviche and guacamole with fried fish and both were great! Also had some very good shrimp tacos. Will definitely go back.
