22$ Caniac meal w extra fries, extra sauce and no slaw but an extra piece of that hittin toast.
Food was burning hot, which is outstanding.
Chris, cashier, at the front was excellent help. Let me know he was on his way to help me and then apologized for the wait, which was around 16 seconds 😀
A big surprise was that the chicken tenders were Soggy. Not slightly wetted but dripping, maybe too much grease? But they didn’t taste greasy. They were fried well! Unsure if that’s cuz the high heat causing rapid condensation— but they should be crispy and not wet. Which was a drag. Also to add to that moist mystery, I got it “for here” so the chicken should have been well ventilated (which, if enclosed, adds quickly to more soggy fried chicken skin because the heat is not escaping and trapped by to go containers). Soggy tenders is a big problem for such an intensely devoted chicken tender place — seeing as 98% of the menu is tenders. Other than that it ‘tends’ to be great experience.
They have a cool outside seating area which I captured a video of attached here.
I haven’t been to Cane’s for maybe 12 years and the food is still the same. It’s pleasing to run into such consistency in flavor and hotness after all this time. Good Job, team!
The outside dining area can use a spot clean pretty badly. There are fries and chicken crumbs littered on tables, also pictured here, and the concrete ground and all over the seating area. Do a spot sweep, management!
It’s a great atmosphere except that their New Orleans Saints fans. Besides that everything was great. The bathroom had a changing station for my little one. And they were of ample size. Everybody is really nice. The food tasted great and the employees seem like they like working here.
Really nice size parking lot so there’s easy parking and they have two lanes for their drive-through. There’s also places to sit out front with umbrellas. They also have a fan with one blade and a crazy disco ball.
And the food? Delicious! Always top-notch. Thanks for creating such a great place to visit!
