Service is great and the food is average or above.
A little disappointed with the Prime Rib Philly, lacking flavor. But a little horseradish sauce and everything was fine.
The place has such a cool, laid-back atmosphere—think cozy pub feel with a neighborhood hangout energy, good beer selection on draft, and that welcoming local charm. It’s clean, friendly service, and you can tell it’s a go-to for folks around here. Whether you’re grabbing a quick bite, watching a game, or just chilling with friends, it delivers every time.
Definitely a Mansfield gem highly recommend the burger if you’re in the mood for something hearty and satisfying. I’ll be back for sure! 10/10 for the food and the vibe. Cheers!
I ordered their fish and chips and got the thin fries, as opposed to the steak fries. The fish was battered and fried nicely. It had a nice crunch and the fish itself was tender. It didn’t have a lot of flavor though.
The fries were solid, but again, not a ton of flavor. They were fried well. They had a great crisp to them. But they simply packed a punch of flavor, which is weird because they were seasoned.
The coleslaw was delicious. I like a sweet slaw and theirs is definitely on the sweet side. Really enjoyed it. Wish I was given a larger portion. But I’m simply being greedy there.
We received great service from the lady behind the bar. I found it odd she was waiting tables, but she was quick and efficient. She did a great job of seeing when I had an empty cup and had me filled up quickly.
All in all, a positive experience. I might go back here depending. They have an advantage of being open on a Sunday. Most of the higher quality restaurants here in Mansfield aren’t.
Didnt give us silverware or napkins until appatizers were out.
The food seemed very greasy. Typical, but it was overwhelming on the Fish & Deep Fried Pickles. The Fish was good, firm, was always a good bite.
Id give em another shot dont get me wrong. But I didnt see the hype at all.
Expensive too, but what isnt.
I must also commend the manager, Amie who went above and beyond to ensure our event was a success. Despite facing challenges with staffing shortages in the days leading up to our party, Amie handled everything with professionalism and grace. She personally ensured that every detail was taken care of, from menu arrangements to accommodating our specific requests. Amie’s friendly demeanor and proactive approach made us feel welcomed and valued as guests.
The food served was perfectly suited for our group. We enjoyed a variety of appetizers including artichoke dip with chips, fried mushrooms, potato skins, cheese curds, potstickers, and pretzel bites. Each dish was freshly prepared, flavorful, and served promptly.
Overall, our experience at Old Bag of Nails was nothing short of excellent. The combination of great food, exceptional service from Kim and Amie, and a welcoming atmosphere made it the best gathering our company has had to date. We look forward to returning and highly recommend Old Bag of Nails for any event or casual dining experience in Mansfield.
