I was staying at the hotel so I ordered to go. Service was good. Food was prompt. Upon inspection I discovered my soup was missing. The server/hostess (because it was a to go order) quickly fixed the problem. Once back in my room most of the food had an amazing presentation for a to go order except the side of asparagus. It was 6 pieces wrapped in tinfoil. Would have been more appealing if it had just been included in my entrée container. Outside of that everything was quite tasty and cooked perfectly. Im not a fan of white meat chicken just because its usually dry, but this chunk of chicken was not dry and very tasty.
I would recommend this place and I will return should my travels bring me back to the area.
While waiting for my food there was wall art/pictures that told the history of this location that I absolutely enjoyed reading. The art/pictures was of the mob and law enforcement. You’ll have to read the walls tor yourself.
Definitely worth visiting

I had the chicken fried steak with garlic mash potatoes and seasonal veggies. Nothing special. Couldn’t taste the garlic in the mash potatoes and I think if they roasted there veggies it might taste better. The waiter was nice but I had to remind him of my drink. The place is dark and old.

Stopped by this restaurant on our drive to Bear Lake, lunch menu. Food was good overall. The cheese curds were the best – great flavor! Recommend the sandwich too (we got the one with turkey, ham, cheese, bacon). Plenty of sweet potato fries. My dad enjoyed his burger which was cooked perfect for medium rare. The fish and chips were so-so.

We had lunch here and were very pleased with the food and experience. We tried an appetizer sampler which included fried shrimp, chicken tenders, zucchini, pickles, cheese sticks, and poppers with 4 different dipping sauces. All the items were good. For entrees we had the Mac and cheese bites, Al Capone burger, hamburger steak, and the Bugsy Siegel grilled chicken salad. All the food was very good. The sweet potato waffle fries were fantastic. I was also impressed with how correctly the meat was cooked for our order. Not overcooked at all. I also included a trip to their salad bar which was well stocked with all the items I wanted. Staff was attentive and courteous and the food was prepped well the bill was very reasonable and we would definitely eat here again.

Reminiscent of a restaurant from times past, this fantastic place to dine really hits the spot with great food and complementary loaf of fresh bread! Love the outlaw theme too!

You want a steak? This is just about the only place to get premium cuts of meat, for premium prices… The service is often lack luster and confused. Teenagers at their first job and older people at their last. The bar is pretty good and I love the atmosphere, a early 20th century wooden gangland architechture. The food is usually alright. I have never been amazed with any part pf service, infact I have often been put-off on several occasions. Overall, the Legal Tender is a good place for when you are tired of everywhere else and just want steak! Also, on two occasions when I did get the salad bar, there were only two proteins (including egg),I was told by staff that the nuts count as a protein… so there is that.
I would not recommend breakfast as the buffet for the hotel side often overtakes the “fine dining” experience you expect and turns it into an expensive hotel breakfast bar. (though you cam order from the menu). This establishment certainly shines for during dinner service.

Very nice motel restaurant with great service, food, and atmosphere. We enjoyed dinner after checking in (7 hour drive from Colorado Springs). Friendly staff that checked on us often, we both enjoyed our meals. The complimentary bread was delicious. I enjoyed the Philly cheesesteak sandwich with a dipping sauce and asparagus. Nice decor.

My second time having the pleasure of eating here. The steak was perfect. Beat the heck outta the $60.00 steak I had in Kansas City.

Overall, decent. Something you’d expect for a quick in and quick out experience, like what you would want when travelling. The price was decent, the service was mediocre at best, and the food was fairly good.
We only got their lemonades, which were okay at first, but when I got my refill, it tasted like bitter water, rather than the sweet lemonade you’d expect.
The food we got was okay, slightly pricey for what it was but it was fair quality. I got their signature burger, from which I can say their sauce is really good. I wish there was more, but that’s personal preference. I would have gotten some on the side, but the only time the waitress checked in was near the end of my burger about 15 minutes into eating. Not the end of the world, she still got me in time for a refill.
My partner got their wrap. It was okay. Good for the price, actually, and they only ate half of it before being filled.
When we were first entering, the gentleman who sat us down at our table seemed between 14-16 based on appearance and professionalism. He brought us to the table, put our menus down and was almost out of “thank you distance” by the time we were actually next to the table. Very fast paced and didn’t feel super professional at all.
Overall a mediocre experience. The impression we got from appearance alone wasn’t met, but when we first got in to be taken to a table is when we knew what we came for.
