Reviews
I had almost one of each prepared food item; 3 plates. Last plate was dessert, which included fruit, and a small piece of fudge cake. I enjoyed all the food. Didn’t have any room for the soups (4 kinds). Also, had 2 glasses of diet soda. Did not eat any sushi.
I will return to this establishment and I also recommend it.
Also, if you want to make sure the food is warm/hot go when it opens.
I had NEVER been to this establishment before. My first time.
Also, there is a sign that says pay when you enter and that’s what I did. I sat down and the waitress asked what I wanted to drink (they weren’t officially open, even though the sign at the window said open and people were going in.) I got my soda and waited until there was a cashier there was hot food being served at the buffet tables, I said I had a soda not knowing if it was included in the price, the cashier rang me up for $20 and I was confused Google maps said $15. Cashier refunded me $17, now I’m confused and I said the sign says pay upon entering. This is how it is supposed to work you enter and the waitress says how many, you sit whever and then she gets you drink orders, you eat; when you are done she hands you the bill and you pay at the entrance at the cashier counter window; where the sign says pay before you enter. After awhile the cashier comes to me with the original $20 bill for one person.
Dinner is $19.99 (served after 3:30), and Lunch is $14.99 (served until 3:30pm).
Sodas are extra, but reasonable ($1.50), and kids under 10 dine for $1 (lunch) or $1.50 (dinner) per year of their age … we brought my 23 month old granddaughter, and she definitely ate $1.50 worth of food.
We’ll be back.
My friend and I were having an exquisite evening here but then something happened. My friend found a hair inside of their rice. I quickly told the manager which he then said” we planted the hair.” Of course I did not take that disrespect and he quickly became submissive to the situation. Only offering 50% of our food. Very mild food due to the seafood being very out of date . Shells are also reused for the oysters which are just canned.
A group of us stopped by for dinner, and our checks were grouped together, and an automatic 10% was added to the total. We were never asked if there were going to be separate checks or pretty much anything.
The business practices are atrocious.
I do understand that businesses must make ends meet. Price gouging should not be one of them.
2021 Visit Notes:
We used to go to the old location several years ago but stopped due to another business opening closer to the house.
Which declined after being renamed, like 5 times…
Anyways the food was tatsy and we only ended up with one bad item.
A rib, they were cooked, just not enough.
We all went back several times, and just about every item was sampled, all were good except the ribs.
They have a large selection of gluten-free items and Soy free items, which was a huge bonus.
The men’s room was unhygienic, which is why the four stars.
Update 06/18/2021
We stopped here for lunch today around 1pm and finished up around 140pm.
Long story short, the steam tables were not as full and fresh as we have experienced previously.
The roughest part? We were overcharged for our lunch today.
The person that rang us up charged for 1 lunch and 1 dinner and 2 waters. 28.03
Which sadly, will be the last time.
I understand that businesses need to “make up for lost income**,” it’s unfortunate that businesses take advantage of people.
**COVID-19 shutdown of businesses.
