Not sure how but the tortilla chips were a real miss, no salt and taste like burnt nothingness. I love rice and beans but why ruin them with green beans, peas and corn? Surf and turf burrito okay meat tastes a little burnt. I live walking distance and I’ve passed this place a million times and finally decided to try it but I don’t think I’ll go back honestly. Great people and fast service but food could use a little love but pretty much what I expected from a 24/7 Mexican Spot.

Only restaurant I’ve found with real fried eggs in the christian burrito, which is the only reason i go here. They offer “enchilada style” on any burrito which is also a plus. And they’re open 24 hrs which is awesome. Unfortunately this is where the positives end. They use weak paper containers for food, especially if I order enchilada style it rips through while eating in my car just from pressure of eating and falls out easily. They also use paper straws which feel weird. They’re a few bucks more expensive than other places, especially with add-ons. They only offer green salsa and their own made orange salsa (no red or anything else) and i don’t enjoy either so I have to use a salsa at home this is usually the dealbreaker for me. The food is inconsistent sometimes it’s great other times it seems like it’s been sitting or something. They can never hear me when i’m ordering through the speaker.

I found this place by accident while walking to Jack in the Box. But I had been wanting to try some fish tacos in California, and yeah, this place has fish tacos.
It has amazing fish tacos. They’re six bucks each and they’re huge. The fish are in breaded chunks, and there’s a lot of fish on these tacos.
This is a 24 hour place, and most people sit outside. The folks in the kitchen deserve a shout-out. Most seating is outside. The menu is huge. And of course in Carlsbad, the weather is always perfect for outside seating.
Update: I went back the next day and got a breakfast burrito. It’s as big as a house.

Been here a few times and food is usually very good and you get big portions. However for those of us who don’t eat big or are on a budget it would be nice to be able to get half portions. Like 1/2 a quesadilla. They wanted to charge me extra for the same amount of product because we wanted a half and half quesadilla. Doesn’t seem like good customer service for a simple request. And fries should be cook longer to have a nice crisp to them not soggy like heat lamp heat

Ordered at drive-thru. Repeated back order correctly. Asked again at window what my order was, and still got the wrong food. And when I called to talk to someone about it, they wouldn’t give me their name. And told me to bring food back in morning to get my money back, how ridiculous ! JUST KEEP DRIVING

Such incredible fish tacos! I have been here many times, since I was a teen, but someone recommended the fish tacos to me. They were huge and filled me up. I also tried the shredded beef burrito whcu was so delicious. I would order both again. They also have great Cali friends, but we didn’t order them this time.

The hot sauce comes in bags though which is different so prep yourself for that and you’re good. At least to go it is bagged.

The food was great but the girl taking orders was flat out mean and obviously didn’t want to be there it seems. We walked in and she didn’t even greet us. Then we were ready to order and she literally stared at us until I asked if I could order. It was brutal but once we got all 5 orders in we went outside to sit. Atmosphere was nice and the tables were clean. They have a customer bathroom which was clean too. Food was very good and portions were big. The green salsa was so good! I think we would return and hope the cashier girl is gone by then!

You can’t go wrong with ordering the steak and egg breakfast burrito. I sometimes order extra meat which is 6$ more (not great). The portion is great even if you don’t order extra meat. The salsa verde is fantastic. The salsa rojo is not for the weak.
