I must express my disappointment, as this isn’t the first time I’ve experienced this issue. You may wonder why I continue to return. While Dutch Pot serves delicious food, these recurring problems have made me hesitate to visit again. Additionally, it’s worth mentioning that these containers are banned in most states. What puzzles me is the lack of consideration for consumers in Jamaican food service. When I order Chinese food, especially soup, it comes well-wrapped, and I enjoy the meal. However, when I order Jamaican food, I find that 95% of the stew ends up leaking into the bag.

Overcooked scrap pieces of plantain put onto 30$ oxtail plate. No attention to quality output. Also ingredients in “natural” juices are largely in question, why does a natural juice that is supposed to be fresh have propylene glycol and caramel color in it? Even straight up benzoate…not what a true Jamaican restaurant would pass on to customers. Profit has exceeded quality.

I visited here on Friday from Orlando. Friendly & fast service. Food was good but could use some spice in the brown stew chicken. Also, the watermelon lemonade was yummy.

Went on 3/3/26 around 11:20am. No greeting, no eye contact and looked very upset. Fine moving on. Noticed quantity on “mini” size so instead ordered a “small” size. Got the same quantity as the mini just spread over – same baby-sized jerk chicken portions (3 in total). Woman rushed to the register and sealed the package before I could see. $15 (no drink). If you’re not Jamaican (but HAVE to eat there), you’re better off using the drive-thru. Pollo Tropical, you get a whole quarter white (twice the portion) at half the price without the humiliating treatment. Nice. To corporate: If you care don’t let your franchise be ruined by poor hiring practices – don’t cut corners – customer service does matter. Those servers need some SERIOUS training.

I have nothing but good things to say about Dutch Pot! Everyone was kind and helpful. And the food is amazing. This is a great spot to eat at if your on vacation or a native looking for authentic Jamaican cuisine. I highly recommend. There juice is also great, freshly made eveyday. They also have a drive-thru.

Good portion size of meat today. The rum cake didn’t taste or look fresh, though. It had some flavorless parts to it and harder bites.

This is one of my go-to spots for Jamaican food. The food is consistently good, well-seasoned, and the portions are solid. I keep coming back because I know I’m going to enjoy the meal every time. Some of the staff are especially kind and welcoming, which makes the experience more comfortable, and overall it’s a place I like going to even though there’s another location nearby. Reliable food, familiar spot, and worth the stop.

This is now the second Uber order in a row that Dutch Pot has gotten wrong, which completely eliminates the “honest mistake” excuse. This is incompetence, plain and simple. A business that repeatedly sends out incorrect orders has no business offering delivery at all.
What’s worse is the total lack of accountability. I’ve called and left two messages, and no one has bothered to respond. That level of disregard makes it painfully clear that customer satisfaction means nothing here. Once they have your money, you’re on your own.
This place is being run with zero quality control, zero customer service, and zero respect for the people who support it. The food might have a reputation, but the operation behind it is a mess. I will not be ordering again, and I strongly suggest others think twice before wasting their money here

I don’t have good things to say! Mostly because we were ripped off! I think the employees play a game that that don’t understand us so they can overcharge us! I am feeling if I was with a Jamaican friend it would’ve not been the same experience. There lunch special advertised at $5.50 or so comes with 3 piece fried chicken, one side and a drink. We ordered 3 lunches. 2 came with 2 pieces of chicken, rice, salad and no drink the third, came with 3 pieces of chicken, plantains and a drink. Bill was $35.
Someone is not mathing!
