I was absolutely in shock with how amazing all the food was. We got the Chilean sea bass ceviche and baby calamari to start, the ceviche was incredible. For our mains we ordered the skirt steak and oxtail, our server paired the perfect wine with our mains.

Buena Vista Restaurant and Bar offers cozy, comfortable seating with beautifully designed brick walls and decorative accents. The staff was attentive and gave us excellent recommendations from their wonderful menu. Isabella, our server, was especially helpful and friendly.
The food was exquisite—from the drinks to the appetizers and dinner. For starters, we had the tuna and mussels, both full of flavor. We truly enjoyed the sea bass and the salmon; each dish was delicious and perfectly prepared. We will be back.

OUTSTANDINGLY delicious. EXCELLENT service. WORTHY. We’ll be back! We are now Family. From the moment we walked in the managers warm handshake set the tone for what would be one of the best meals I’ve had in the NYC! (And I’m a native New Yorker.) From the Ossobuco to the lobster bisque stew, skirt steak w/ Lobster tail, to olive tapenade to dessert warm banana bread pudding to the craft drinks (esp. the Guava Basil Margarita) and the excellent service from Camila —.our meal was beyond five star!!!

Dinner was delicious, service was attentive and friendly. Our server, Micah was great! We started with the Tamal and hanger cured pork tenderloin with the sunny side quail egg. Both were delicious, the hanger cured pork was unique. For our entrees, the duck was perfectly cooked as suggested by the chef. The skirt steak was very tender, nice portion. Cute place, definitely will come back to try other dishes on the menu.

Amazing! We never made it to main course because we re-ordered the same appetizers- sea bass ceviche (outstanding) grilled octopus (texture, taste, it was perfect) cured pork tenderloin on plantains with manchego cheese (wow) sushi tuna brosquette (delicious) and sweet plantain was the cherry on top! It was a mouth watering experience served with pride, knowledge and enthusiasm. Buena Vista was recommended to us, otherwise if we didn’t know about it, we would have passed it, maybe glanced at the A frame menu outside the restaurant, but likely wouldn’t have been interested. But I hope you don’t just overlook it/ in fact- I hope, if you are in NY- put it on the top of your list for dinner destination! HIGHLY RECOMMEND NOT TO MISS! Planning to return with my family next.

The is an intimate dining experience in a cozy exposed brick setting. Buena Vista is the perfect restaurant for date night. With Latin American dishes and exceptional cocktails, we thoroughly enjoyed our dinner.
I recommend the seared duck and sea bass for entrees. Portions are generous and service is attentive. Don’t forget to order some cocktails or wine!

I had a wonderful experience at Buenavista Restaurant in New York. Our server, Wagner, was absolutely fantastic. He made the evening so special with his attentive and friendly service. I enjoyed a delicious surf and turf that was perfectly cooked, and the appetizers, especially the oxtail-stuffed potato balls were out of this world. I also had a guava margarita that was just perfect. Overall, Wagner made the night truly memorable, and I couldn’t have asked for better service.
