I ordered wings and they came out extremely spicy. I was told that all the wings are spicy, but when I explained to the server that they were too hot for me, she took the wings from the table and brought out another order. She then told me I would have to pay for both orders. I refused and asked her to take the new ones back and return my original wings, which she agreed to do.
However, she kept coming back to the table without the wings. When I asked again, she finally stated that they had been tossed. Which I already suspected. She then said she would get her manager.
The manager, Ms. Ericka, came out already rude and dismissive of my concerns. She stated that it “clearly says on the menu” that wings are not replaced if they are too spicy. I explained that her staff clearly didn’t know or follow that policy either, because the server would not have taken my wings from the table in the first place.
Ms. Ericka then responded by saying, “Well, it was told to me that you just didn’t like them,” which was not true. My entire table of six people confirmed that is not what was said. Her response was, “Well what do you want me to do about it?” I told her I wanted either my money back or my wings back.
Eventually, she returned the honey BBQ wings and said I did not have to pay for two wing plates. While that was the right outcome, the attitude, lack of accountability, and dismissive customer service completely ruined the experience.
On top of that, the atmosphere was terrible. The energy felt negative, and honestly, no one looked like they wanted to be there or work there. Between the poor service, rude management, and uncomfortable environment, I won’t be returning.
After working all day, my husband and I came in at 9 o clock for a drink at the bar and to order to go wings, fries and apps. After not being greeted whatsoever for 10 minutes, I finally interrupted the bartender making drinks to ask for a menu, only to be told by Carey that we’d have to wait longer even just for a menu. Once we got home, we found half our order to be missing. We tried to call to get the missing items—no answer. Once we got back to the restaurant at 10, we were told the kitchen was closed and couldn’t fix the mistake.
I’ve worked in Athens restaurants for over a decade, and I have never received such apathetic and disappointing service. 0/10 experience, will definitely be spreading the word that this Blind Pig is absolutely not the move.
