Today is the Superbowl, the one event that most Americans gather across the country to eat, drink and be merry. We should be talking about the game but many are talking about the half-time show. Me, I’m going to watch both. On a more positive note, I had the opportunity to gather with friends, to celebrate a birthday , we ate, drank and were merry and afterwards, stopped by the cigar bar, adjacent to the parking lot and I got to play some pool. Great evening, and Happy Birthday my friend, looking forward to next year Gregory! FYI, we will be eating at a 2 star Michelin restaurant, that’s less than an hour away, the #1 restaurant in Canada and the #3 restaurant in North America Can’t wait to post, so stay tune

When in Buffalo this restaurant is a must, I am a steak lover, tonight I would say I had the best steak in my 72 years of my life. The NY 14oz was unbelievable. My compliments to the chef. Our server Jimmy, knows how to give helpful suggestions and great service. If I had the choice to pick higher than 5 stars, I would for sure pick higher. We were a party of two.

Title: A Long-Time Fan Notices a Shift in Quality & Value

I’ve been frequenting Buffalo Chophouse since its early days and have always cherished it as a true gem in Buffalo’s dining scene. Over the years, though, I’ve watched it evolve from a standout “diamond” experience to something closer to a solid (but not exceptional) chain steakhouse—while prices have steadily risen.

Our recent visit was average overall. Our server was very kind and attentive, though she seemed a bit subdued, quietly mentioning that several longtime menu staples have been removed. She put on a good face, but the spark that once defined the place felt dimmer.

I opted for the veal chop as a safer choice—it was pretty good and met expectations, but nothing that wowed. (Asparagus was available with other dishes, but the kitchen wouldn’t offer it as a general side.) My cousin’s Delmonico steak arrived noticeably undersized; when relayed to management, the response felt defensive and almost interrogative, so we let it go.

I’ve had many wonderful meals here in the past, but the current trend—declining consistency, menu changes, and mismatched value for the elevated prices—makes it no longer a must-visit destination for me. It’s more of a convenience spot now. I truly hope the team can recapture what made Buffalo Chophouse special—it’s still got so much potential.

Always a wonderful experience here. I hadn’t been in years. From the free valet, welcome by hostesses, Noel our waitress, it was a great experience. The ambience is exceptional. Nice music in the background. Tables set up beautifully. I did send my steak back since I felt overcooked but was not made to feel like I was “that person” and they even upgraded my side lobster dantes to a 7oz lobster for the same price. I still gave a 5 star for the food because once cooked to my presence, it was lovely. I highly recommend for a couples date, family, friends, or even a meal alone; there is table seating on 2 floors and at the bar. They also offer a $50 comp for your birthday (within 3 weeks).

Amazing!!! We have gone to many steak houses around the country. The strip steak and filet mignon were outstanding! We also ordered meatballs and shrimp tempura, the mash and broccolini. The chocolate cake was to die for. What sealed the deal was the waitress, she was so attentive and professional. Our new fav spot

The Buffalo Chop House is one of the premier restaurants in Buffalo. The name has grown to be synonymous with impeccable service, high quality food and beverages. This all comes at a premium price, but it’s definitely worth it, especially for a special night out.

The bar area and atmosphere lends to being cozy and well defined. Menu options are a la carte featuring quality steaks and seafood. There is a nice selection of desserts as well.

I went with the 12 oz fillet which was cooked to perfection. Depending on your pallet, you might want the rub applied lightly (noted so you know it’s an option). Others had the Kansas City steak, which is dry aged and was pretty delicious as well. The seafood platter featured sizable shrimp and crab legs. Some of the sides were average such as the fries and broccoli, but the mac and cheese, French onion soup and bacon were out of this world! The cheesecake was a little dry for my liking.

Overall a great experience and will certainly be back. Give him a try if you haven’t already, it won’t disappoint.

We had an incredible experience at Buffalo Chophouse. The food was phenomenal, from the perfectly cooked steak (slightly on the salty side) and buttery lobster tail to the flavorful sides like mushrooms, mashed potatoes, and broccolini. Every dish was spot on.

But the real standout of the night was Jack, our bartender. He was truly top tier, tanticipating our every need, showing genuine patience, and offering some of the best service I’ve had in a long time. He was always nearby without hovering and made the whole evening feel effortless and special. Huge shoutout to him for elevating our night. Highly recommend!

Best friend and I went for my birthday.
Our server was extremely polite and professional.
We started with the calamari appetizer which was large and perfect for the price.

Friend got an old fashioned which was the perfect amount of smokey to sweetness.
My Moscow mule could have been a little stronger but was great.

For our entrees my friend got a 8oz fillet medium rare, and I got 32oz bone in Ribeye medium rare. Both were cooked to perfection and the seasoning crust was top notch.
As our side we got the mac and cheese which was phenomenal with the melted crust ontop and once you got down further the cheesey deliciousness paired super well with some of the fatty steak pieces.
Would definitely be a place I’d come bsck to once a year or so.
