Jay Gee’s Ice Cream and Fun Center has been serving homemade ice cream and providing family entertainment to families across Southern New Hampshire and Massachusetts’ Merrimack Valley since 1983. The family-owned and -operated business has two locations each housing over 60 homemade ice cream flavors. The Methuen, MA location is home to an amusement center which offers go karts, batting cages, miniature golf, bumper cars, and an arcade. The Fun Center also provides birthday parties, and group outings for organizations. In July 2012, Jay Gee’s expanded to their second location in Salem, NH serving the same great ice cream year-round.

Great ice cream and great service! Portion sizes were a bit big, but sometimes that’s OK if you have a sweet tooth. I had a delicious root beer float with coconut ice cream and my partner had a small sundae. Tons of flavors to choose from. Wide variety of drinks and ice creams as well – frappes, sundaes, slushies, and regular ice cream on a cone. Plenty of parking available.

We are visiting from our of town and we’re looking for things to do with my niece and nephews. Saw this place and decided to come as they had several activities and an ice cream shop. Ended up not having time for the activities but decided to get some ice cream. I saw that they had Italian ice and was pretty stoked. Then I saw they had Dole Whip Soft Serve as well so I was extra ecstatic. I ordered an off menu item i created(Big Stick Popicle) which was Italian ice(mango with Dole Whip Soft Serve(pineapple) on top. They were so accommodating and it was so delicious. My siblings and cousins were jealous and we will be back to get more Italian ice tomorrow. The ice cream flavors were good except the double or triple chocolate one we got. The no sugar added pistachio was also very delicious. I highly recommend this place.

This place is great. It wasnt too packed. I had bought the passes when they had a sale over Christmas and got a free pass. The bumper boats and bumper cars do go a little slow but the area is not that big either. They also have batting cages, Go-Karts, mini golf, arcades and of course pizza. They have so many flavors of ice cream that it’s hard to choose. I had bananas and cream this time but I’ll be back to try more flavors. Also the sizes of the ice cream cups are pretty big. I got the kiddie size and I would consider that a small.The kids had a blast.

Called yesterday during business hours, they do not have anyone answering phones… Instead they tell you to email “for a rapid response”… Which is frustrating if you need to know, now, if they are open.
Their hours state after labor day it’s “weather permitting”… so since forecast was calling for potential storms this weekend, I wanted to ask if they would be closed or open. I had plans with family to visit for the day and neither one of us lives close by. ANYWAY, I emailed yesterday during normal business hours, it’s almost 1:30pm the next day… still no “rapid response”
This method isn’t working. I’m hesitant to visit in the future if I can’t verify you are actually open before driving for a hour to get there.

Jay Gees is phenomenal! We have been ordering ice cream cakes every year from them and everyone raves about it. They are not only delicious but the decorators are incredible. Everyone in my family now prefers and ice cream cake for their birthday.
