Universal Joint is the perfect place to enjoy some delicious bites on their comfortable patio. The server welcomed me right away & brought a big water bowl for my dogs. I ordered the brisket dip (I requested well done). It was very flavorful. I happened to be there at 4:00 when happy hour started so I enjoyed a nice glass of white wine that was on special. Their HH menu has great deals, we will definitely be back.

Cozy, intimate, non-assuming dive bar directly off Stone avenue. Plenty of parking in the back. Nice outdoor terrace to enjoy drinks & food. Young friendly staff..Their sweet potato fries are crispy and great! Highly recommend!

I love UJ! Sammie is the best waitress, so kind and attentive, always going above and beyond. The southwest quesadilla and loaded tots are always are go to. And cannot forget about the manager, Harvey, always making sure his guests are known and taken care of (plus making the best drinks)!! Our favorite neighborhood establishment. Good time, food, drinks, and even better staff.

Our first time at universal joint. I ordered the Fish and chips, my wife got the Cranberry Turkey sandwich. The fish was obviously frozen. It had a thick breading and not much fish in between. One piece cut into four pieces. The fries were plain with no seasoning. Very bland ranch which was .50 cents extra. The turkey sandwich was okay, but it needed more cranberry. Definitely not worth the $34.56. $15 for fish and chips, I expected a little better . The only good thing was our waitress Nina. Very friendly.

Great lunch spot today. Plenty of seating outdoors so we could bring our pet. Cold beer too!

Burgers, chips with queso and salsa were good. The atmosphere and esthetics are great. Sweet potato fries were not. The one star is for the service. We had to hunt down our server 4x. Example: My husbands beer sat at the bar forever while he waited to have it with his food. Another server had to tell ours twice we needed her because she went missing for an extended period of time. The bartenders and servers watched a man at the bar vape 3x. We asked for them to say something as I am allergic and he kept vaping in front of everyone. We will never go back.

Universal Joint’s happy hour is their saving grace. $2 PBR drafts, and multiple other options are a great deal away from the hustle and bustle of downtown Greenville. The food is alright. I haven’t tried everything, but the “classic” menu items like chicken fingers or wings are just subpar. The sauces are house-made, which I do love, but they try too hard, in my opinion. The “ranch” was sent back because it looks like Bleu Cheese. Turns out, it is ranch, but it contains chunks of onions and other spices, effectively making it into a French Onion Dip. Overall, it’s a great price, but the god just doesn’t meet the mark.

Outstanding time celebrating my 55th birthday with U-Joint last night. Menu, food, service and overall experience were all 5/5. Bravo!
I was relieved the live music stopped prior to 7:30 PM so we could enjoy the college football. The young lady was very attractive and very brave for getting up in front of everyone. But maybe we leave Katy Perry songs to, you know, Katy Perry to sing. I didn’t realize Taylor Swift actually has a decent voice until last night. I’m trying to be honest, not mean.

Fun dinner with friends at the Universal Joint! Nice atmosphere with good drinks and bar food. Somewhat limited gluten free options, but my wife had a lettuce wrap and she was fine with her meal. The chicken fajita quesadilla was excellent. Will definitely go back!

Typical Asheville/Greenville gastropub experience. Everything is great, but comes with a ton of attitude…no one really cares to actually serve you. You’re on their clock. Still a good time. I just feel super privileged to be in my waitress’s presence.
