The Inverted burn on the spicy melt Was a genius idea. I can grab more of the buger this way , not only that this burger both a unique flavor that ,I definitely love. Gave it a 10 out of 10 highly recommend going here just for that. I enjoyed the red velvet milkshake, but it was just a little watery in my opinion. Sidenote, Dip your onion rings into your milkshake and taste a whole lot better .The onion Rings were average at best. I still highly recommend coming here just to try the spicy melt though. It took me a while to get over to try this place, but it’s been on my list for a bit. It was worth the wait! Arriving during non rush hours (2:30) I found them to not be busy at all, which allowed me to place my order rather quickly. The woman taking my order was super friendly, even answering some questions I had about their milkshakes without getting frustrated. I take my burgers pretty seriously & have been known to go out of my way to get one! I ordered a classic (double meat & double cheese) with just cheese, onion & pickle, which is exactly how they gave it to me!! For my side I chose the tater tots which were fried to perfection! My shake of choice was chocolate banana, I added a strawberry banana shake on the side for my wife. We both thought the shakes were pretty good. They don’t actually have flavored ice cream, but add the flavors to regular ice cream, but that’s not a complaint, as the fruit flavors were spot on. My order was prepared in just a few minutes & I was out of there in less than 8 min total, from the time I came in, that’s better than “fast food” places that have subpar food! All in all, this is definitely a great burger spot, one that I will revisit again when I’m around the area. Overall the restaurant was clean, you can tell the constantly wipe down & clean in the cooking area, everything being tidy. Thanks for not disappointing!! I definitely recommend Wayback Burgers if you want a delicious cheeseburger!

1 sentence review: Exactly the same as McDonalds, but just more expensive
This is not a negative review out of spite, but of disappointment. I have recently moved to Georgia, and I’ve been searching for a good burger for a while. I tried 2 burgers (Classic + Rodeo), and the comparison between the actual burgers vs the pictures online can be seen in the pictures. If you thought McDonalds pictures vs reality was bad, wait until you see this place. My hand is pretty small, and both of these burgers easily can fit in the palm of my hand. The height of both burgers were exactly the same (which is insane), measuring to around 3 cm. You can imagine how thin the patties were. The taste? It tasted EXACTLY like McDonalds, but the prices are much more expensive here. What made this worse was the fact that when I added sides w/ dipping sauces, for which 1 sauce is complementary per side in online ordering. However the casher (who I believe is the owner) added it as extra cost for both sauces ($1+), and I could see from the expression on his face that he knew exactly what he was doing. This is a franchise restaurant, so store policies regarding things like these should be the same. To be honest, I’m not too bothered by the extra fee he added on by this, but his attitude regarding this is what irked me. Finally, the cleanliness of the restaurant was pretty disgusting. I know this is a burger joint, so I’m not expecting a dine-in level sanitation. Still, I could see how dirty this place was even though the restaurant is very dim inside.

Suggestion for anyone who sees this review: If you want a decent burger nearby, I would suggest Craft burger. They may be on average (~$2) extra, but the price difference is SO worth it. The patties are at least 2.5x compared to this place, and the resulting burger looks very similar to the pictures themselves online. They do not try to sneak in additional costs, and the establishment seems to be very clean.

I got single bacon cheese burger, fries & strawberry lemonade to go. It was until I bit into burger a couple times i realized I didn’t taste bacon. The was 2 sting of bacon on my burger! If I haven’t left would took it right back in. I also have an appointment to get to. Way too much mustard and ketchup. And there was no ice in my lemonade which looks like juice. They were not friendly at all. I shall have went with my gut and went to American Deli that had newly open near them!!!

Worst customer service ever. That man thinks he cannot be wrong even when shown he is.

I just read another review with the Middle Eastern decent male cursing because I dared to complain my orders were not right. Yelling in the store so everyone heard what should have been a private conversation. Then kicked something and threw something… all things purposely audible to I guess intimidate me as a woman. Then I tried to show the woman working where it said condiments on the side and he got mad at her for trying to listen to me. What a class act not only to me, but to her, and the family trying to have dinner with their young child in the store.
He argued for about 20 minutes which made our food cold. Not worth the time, energy, or money.

The burger was 8/10, veggie burger 8/10, milkshake red velvet 9/10. Cajun Remulade sauce is like dill and mustard was pretty good. The tenders you can pass on. The food was good. They have a lunch special. A small area to sit in.

I had a great experience at Wayback Burgers. The chili burger was delicious, and I appreciate that everything is halal. It does get quite busy during lunch, so it’s best to come early if you’re looking for a seat. There’s not a lot of dining in space, so takeout is the way to go. Highly recommend!

**Extremely disappointed with my experience at Wayback Burgers in Lawrenceville, GA.** I was the only customer in the store and ordered 3 single cheeseburger combos. Instead of cooking the burgers fresh, the staff tried to serve me one that had clearly been sitting out with cheese already melted on it, then reheated it on the grill to pass it off as “fresh.”

When I questioned it, they insisted it was fresh — which it obviously wasn’t — so I canceled my order and left. As I walked out, a male employee (appeared to be of Middle Eastern descent) yelled at me, claiming they “got fresh,” then began cursing in a foreign language out of frustration. Completely unprofessional and unacceptable behavior.

Reheating old burgers and serving them to customers is a health concern and shows a lack of respect for food safety. I won’t be returning, and I hope management take this seriously!!!!!

This was my first time here and was intrigued by the theme. The service was good and the food was really good. I had the classic burger which didn’t disappoint.

I’ll be going back to try some of their other burgers soon.

Went to way back burger and fell in LOVE with the food. My husband and I met Waymond, the franchise owner, who went above and beyond with hospitality welcoming everyone who came through the door. We ordered the cheesy burger and the onion rings and it was HEAVENLY! We also tried the dessert donut with the ice cream in the middle and it was EVERYTHING you could ever imagine as deliciousness.
