I ordered pick up from here on a whim, had a very long day and this seemed convenient. Traveling from Penn Hills to Mckeesport. My Husband was ranting about this place his job a few minutes up the way ordered here for lunch he loved it.
As I said on the way we picked up I ordered on line we live close enough. I walked in the servers were gathered in a corner and several people were walking in and out the kitchen. No one said a word to me. It was also maybe a good handful of people sitting in there. I went to the pick up station where that lady was very very nice and helpful and patient and that’s the only good thing about the experience.
Our pizza was to have just came out it was warm, was not cut all the way through, it looked good but I was not impressed. The sauce was okay the toppings mediocre, just a tough choice when you’re really looking forward to something. Now crust wise I didn’t pay attention that’s on me because that certainly wasn’t what I wanted. But we absolutely cut and broiled the pizza at home.
Ranch was also good but that’s it I don’t know if this would be worth another try. We spent $26.75 for this one pizza…

We’ve eaten at Calientes and it is always good when we eat in store. Today was no different, tried a new pizza and it was amazing! The Detroit style Sensei. Mark was our server and while he said he’s not normally “on this side” he was phenomenal!

Ordered to go and it was okay they forgot ricotta cheese too on both pizzas. I called to let them know but I wasn’t waiting for the long automated call, so that’s on me. The price for what you get…. Nah. It didn’t wow me. Didn’t look like the photos presented online. What did I expect. We ate there plenty of times and got hoagies and felt the same way. Something missing. Maybe a different location is better? Feel like I wasted my hard earned money.

My teen daughter and I stopped here today, it was the first time for both of us..
She is an extremely picky eater, like pizza isn’t just pizza kind of picky. All Chicken nuggets aren’t the same kind of picky. No extra condiments on anything picky.
I say let’s try something new together, I hear it’s really good. She says okay.. to my surprise.
Anyhow… We ordered mozz sticks and a small pizza.. mozz sticks came out and were great.
Our pizza comes out, looks and smells delicious..
We dive in, no talking just stuffing our faces…
I notice she’s eating the entire end crust and not stopping where the cheese and sauce ends..this never happens with her. Good sign.
So we finish and I say well what do you think 1-10
She gave y’all an 8! No hesitation

Pizza was great. The sauce is one of the better ones around. Not to think and not to think If you were closer we would eat here more often. We just went simple for the first try. 10 cut pepperoni mushroom. 25$ for a soda , water and pie. Not bad at all

We love everything about this place. Our current favorite pizza in Pittsburgh plus an awesome decor vibe, and Emily taking excellent care of us. We’ve been in four times this month and everything is really good. Our favorite is the margarita pizza with extra basil. It’s a true margarita pizza with plenty of sauce and very little cheese which is what we love. The other pizzas I’ve seen have plenty of cheese, so don’t worry if you’re a cheese lover. And if you like hot, they have a hot pepper oil that and up the already great pizza.

I have gotten Caliente at a Penguin’s game but this was our first time actually ordering it from one of their locations. We got 2 pizzas, a side of fries and an order of cheesy bread and it was almost $100. I am always willing to pay for good pizza but unfortunately one of their “award winning pizzas” was COMPLETELY raw in the center. Extremely disappointing and with all the other good pizza in Pittsburgh, we will probably not return.

The place to be!
This was our first time visiting this location, actually any of the Caliente Pizza and Draft House locations. We were seated immediately. What a cool restaurant!
Design wise, it just really look like the happening place! The bar is set in the center of the restaurant on the left with really cool lighting above it. A mirror behind and on the sides of the restaurant make the restaurant appear to be much larger which give you a feel of not being cramped. We sat on a stool table just out from the bar. Everything you need is located on the table including their own hot sauce that definitely has a kick!
The server was for the most part attentive, but it was very busy that night. My only complaint was that I had ordered fries and was asked if I wanted cheese or ranch to which I responded ranch, but then got charged on the bill for it. I feel if your offered something as though it automatically comes on it, one of the other, that it should be covered. In a brighter note, I will say the ranch was absolutely amazing!
We found out that this pizza is the official pizza of the Pittsburgh Penguins! We also found out that these pizzas have one numerous awards, which is very impressive!
I love that they named the pizzas after movie titles and other more personal things. We ordered the “Big Fat Greek Wedding” this time. They even have a Pizza called Meemaw Pizza, which is my mother’s name that her grandchildren call her
The restrooms are located in a box in the center of the restaurant . I thought there was some kind of significance, but there wasn’t. Might have been from the restaurant housed there before this one.
This was definitely a great addition to my husband and my date night. We are very excited to come back and try some of the other pizzas!

Good for kids with high chairs and kids menus.

I ordered one of their GRANDMA PIES. Everything about the description sounds excellent. It was an expensive pizza on top of that. Caliente prepared it well and DOOR DASH took too long to ARRIVE and DELIVERY the pizza. The cheese was harder than it should’ve been. I called Calient and rhe lady gave me credit for this pizza. She agreed that the issue was DOOR DASH. I love their food and I hope they find some good delivery drivers.
