We found La Maison de l’Aubrac almost by chance. It was on the same street as another place we planned to visit, and a quick Google check showed 7k+ reviews with a 4.4 rating. I had mixed feelings, but after walking for hours and being starving, we decided to give it a try.

First impression: very classic, disciplined French restaurant vibe, minus the white tablecloths. We were seated immediately and handed a massive wine booklet — great for wine lovers, less relevant for us.

For starters, the escargot was okay, nothing memorable. The burrata with eggplant was excellent. Bone marrow was fine but noticeably under-seasoned. The real standout, though, was the French onion soup — rich, cheesy, and genuinely comforting. Easily the best of the starters.

For mains, the duck confit with foie gras sauce completely stole the show. Perfectly cooked, rich, and indulgent — easily a 5-star dish and the highlight of the meal.

We also ordered one of their aged beef cuts, which is clearly their specialty. The whole selection experience builds very high expectations, but once it hit the table, the steak turned out to be mediocre at best. Some pieces were tough, and for a place that prides itself on aged beef, that was disappointing. Sauces were decent, but didn’t save the dish.

We paid around 200€ total, roughly 50€ per person. Pricey for the quality, though understandable given the location near the Champs-Élysées. If you order carefully and skip the weaker dishes, you’ll likely have a better experience.

Service was professional and efficient — no complaints there.

Would I go back? Probably not by choice.
But if I had to, I’d know exactly what to order.

When my family arrived at the restaurant, we were greeted by a moderately nice staff. We have a reservation but did not waited long to be seated. The atmosphere of the restaurant is nice. We were seated on the first floor which was a bit hot. The dry aged beef is nice but can age a bit longer. The waitress who served us was very nice and knowledgeable about which meat we should have. Full marks to her.
The food we had was rather sizable, so leave some room for dessert!!!

As tourists, this restaurant was recommended to us by our concierge. The manager warmly greeted us upon arrival even though we were a bit tardy do to our flight ✈️ and we were seated immediately.

We enjoyed our escargot and bottle of wine. My dish was tasty, but my husband’s steak was mostly gristle and fat. It did not pair well with the savigny les beaune vin.

A special thank you the manager who took care of our complaint with the subpar steak. It was immediately replaced with an appropriate .

Our servers seemed annoyed with us throughout our entire meal, but the manager on duty that evening was excellent.

I am not confident in recommending this place to tourists because of the servers, but I would recommend to Parisians. Once the steak mishap was corrected, the food was good.

I liked my time here at this restaurant. Quick service and the food came out in a decent manner, mind you – this was around 2am and it still had a good crowd there. The escargot was flavorful and had a great aroma. The cocktails were decently made as well – just a bit sad, the baguette was a bit tough.

Amazing service from lovely staff! We had a late reservation but came in hours earlier, they managed to accommodate us quickly. We were served by very friendly and polite staff. My husband and I both ordered starters, steaks for mains with drinks and thoroughly enjoyed! The French Onion Soup starter was incredible!!

Excellent food, fantastic service, and amazing vibe. We went here for dinner and were lucky to have the waiters Lucas and Nassi. They were both so kind and helpful. Get the dry aged beef… It was the best meal we had in Paris. They also were incredibly patient with my wife’s French (second language) and let her practice and taught her new phrases. 100% recommend, we will be back the next time we are in Paris.

Merci Massi. Come to this amazing restaurant and ask for Massi. He will take care of any food restrictions and truly does service with a smile.

He was patient, friendly, explained to my party the region of where the beef came from, and truly is a Gentleman. Can’t wait to send all my friends and family in to this amazing establishment.

This restaurant is really unique and has a ton of character thanks to Massi.
