Taco Tico is one of my favorite places to eat. I usually always get the Texas stack enchilada tonight. I got the Texas stacked enchilada and it looks like the tortillas are swimming and enchilada soup. There was none of the chips and cheese no sour cream no lettuce none of the pico. And overall, I was very disappointed this evening.

We went when it wasn’t busy & still left after 20 minutes without our food. The service was awful. One person heating things up in the microwave, one person taking orders & another person doing nothing. We ordered two burritos & two soft tacos, not a hard order. Also the floor was disgustingly sticky. Will definitely not make the mistake of stopping there again.

A classic taste that can’t be replicated. The service is always prompt and polite and the sauces…the sauces..please stay around forever.

Love the Taco Ticos since the early 70s. We have visited the one in August alot – taco burgers, sanchos, refried beans, all with the reaper sauce. We buy 1/2 dozen of each and freeze ’em for later cause it’s 2 1/4 hrs away.

Food is great as always! Lobby to dine in freezing like there’s no heat at all from what I felt, while we dined in

Good tacos! The taco burger was a little weird but we liked it. Enchilada left much to be desired though, all it tasted of was vinegar (which I know is roughly how it’s supposed to be but the taste was overwhelming). And! They used the little buttons on the top of the drinks! I’ve never actually seen that before, that made my day!

UPDATED REVIEW: I’m not giving a negative view because of the food, but rather the service. Saturday evening (8-22-25) we stopped for dinner, the sign on the door said that, the dining room closed at 9:30 pm, we arrived approximately 8:24 pm and the dining room was already closed. If hours on the door were incorrect, why not post updated hours? Maybe put it on the sign out front? Not sure the dining room is open at all now, but in any case, do better next time.

I’ve been going here for about 3 years. It was Shakey in the beginning, but there are some new hires, maybe even new management, but it is amazing now. The customer service is great, almost always the order is right. I just want to shout out the people who work here, because you’re doing a great job and thank you for providing meals for my family and I. I get some people think the line is slow, but there’s only a few people working at the busiest of hours. Overall great job guys!

First off, they microwave all of their food. Nothing is fresh! Someone handed them a taco seasoning packet & they said, “nah we got a microwave”. The bacon (was that bacon?!?!) was a strange combo of styrofoam & leather w/blandness tossed in. The meat was a mystery w/out spices, seasoning, flavor or structure resembling any meat I’ve ever seen. Their red sauce was sour catsup (not even ketchup). I thought maybe sour cream could have made it more palatable however they charged me for it but I never received it. This is not TexMex or AZ Mex or any sort of Mex. This is the potluck dish you serve to ensure you only have to bring forks at the next gathering.
