Stayed near Midway Airport and found this spot for breakfast, so glad we did! The service was excellent, the staff super friendly, and the food came out fast. There’s plenty of seating, the prices are very reasonable, and parking was easy. The location is perfect, right by the airport, train station and nearby hotels. Definitely worth checking out if you’re around the south side of Chicago.

I thought I knew all the best places to eat breakfast on Chicago’s South Side but boy was I wrong. Top View is a winner! If you’re anywhere near Midway Airport or staying on one of the nearby hotels, skip the hotel breakfast and go to Top View. Not just a meal, it’s an adventure. Eggs Benedict…… oh boy!

Went with a large group 15+. Food was good but the server up charged us every chance she got. For example, made every sandwich deluxe when we specifically asked for it plain. She forgot and still charged us for a drink as well as 2 breakfast platters that never arrived. Even after we told her those never arrived she refused to take them off the bill.

I’d give it 5 stars just for the pleasant staff and delicious coffee alone! Seriously good food here if you want a proper breakfast with a great cup of coffee. I hate forgoing to diners and being able to see through my endless cup of bad coffee. Top View serves up some serious skillets (I recommend the Greek with the gyro meat). I’ll be back for sure when I have a Midway layover!

We’ve been dining here for some time now. It’s a friendly, cozy, and affordable neighborhood restaurant. The portion size is large, and their food is always made to order. It’s fresh and delicious! They upgraded their dining area a little while back, and I saw some new faces in there as far as wait staff goes. Even through their changes, the environment, quality of service, and food remain top tier.

Great place for a delicious breakfast! I got the Corned Beef Omelet. So very yummy. Server kept my coffee warmed up. Very relaxing atmosphere to have a delicious breakfast! Next time I’m in the area for business, guess where I’m having breakfast? Top View Restaurant!!

I have been coming here since I was a kid (I am 30 now) and they always make quality food for a good price. They haven’t changed their prices much in the last 15 years and the waitresses are always so friendly and inviting here. Will continue to bring my littles to this family restaurant!!

Top view is a traditional diner that has really good food just minutes away from Chicago Midway Airport it’s cozy and very clean, which is a definite plus in my book. My food was cooked just the way I ordered it, and I am definitely coming back again.
