Upon entering we were greeted and met with a smile from the owner. He explained all the menu items and how everything is made from scratch daily. Later we determined the great taste!
We ordered at the counter and grabbed a booth to sit while our food was prepared. We were served at the proper time with our food already in a container we used for leftovers. I really like this because it uses less plates and you ready to go when you’re done eating. The two of is got two meals each from what you see in the picture.
We ordered the chicken and kabob plate. The kabobs were cooked to perfection and had a great taste. The rice was some of the best tasting rice. I never ask for seconds on rice but I did this time and my wife was shocked. The nan was the perfect size and amount. The vegetables melted in my mouth.
If Mediterranean food is your jam, this is the place to go. My wife being the expert said this is the best Mediterranean food she has ever had anywhere.
Highly recommend! We will be back!
The food was not what I expected. I ordered the $11.99 Mediterranean salad, and I got a container with tomatoes, cucumbers, and onion. I wondered… where are the lettuce, cheese, or olives? Maybe I confused it with a Greek salad, but for $12 bucks, I’d expected more.
Then I ordered the chicken with rice bowl. It was dry. Thank goodness I ordered the salad.
I do NOT recommend the yogurt drinks unless you like SALTY. I thought, “Maybe it’s just me?” So, I had my friend taste it, and she couldn’t drink it either.
An all around bad experience.
I had their combo plate with three meats, chicken, beef & steak. All three were excellent and cooked perfectly. The hummus was an excellent side to go with the meats for dipping. Their garlic sauce was also pretty good. The rice and pita bread was also solid sides. Overall it was a solid lunch with great customer service also.
I’d definitely come back again to try their other menu items. Parking can be tricky so I suggest non peak times.
My sister ordered the Beef Shawarma plate $15.99 with a side of Baba Ghanouj and Potato Salad while I chose the Kefta Kabab $14.99 with Mediterranean Salad and Grape Leaves. Both plates came with fluffy rice and Garlic Sauce. We also ordered 2-pc Pistachio Baklava $4.98
and 2pc Walnut Baklava $4.98. Food was 4 stars. I loved the beef shawarma and while the Kefta Kabob was good, I’ve had better. All in all 4 stars for the dining experience.
I enjoyed the chicken shawarma. I will be ordering from this place again!
The food, however, was just okay. I tried the chicken shawarma plate, which came with rice, hummus, salad, and pita bread. The chicken was well-seasoned but slightly dry, and the rice lacked the fluffy texture and flavor I was hoping for. The hummus was smooth and creamy, but a bit under-seasoned for my taste. The salad was fresh, but the dressing didn’t add much. I also sampled the falafel, which was crisp on the outside but slightly dense inside.
One highlight was the warm, freshly baked pita — it paired nicely with the hummus and helped elevate the overall meal. While Georgie’s isn’t a place I’d rush back to, it’s a solid option if you’re in the area and craving Mediterranean food. With a few improvements to seasoning and preparation, this place has the potential to be a local favorite. For now, it’s a decent spot that delivers an average but satisfying meal.
