The quality of food is excellent, it’s definitely a better KBBQ experience compared to some of the other AYCE chains. We made our reservations via Resy which is convenient. We arrived early and were seated right away. Several reasons why we enjoyed this restaurant, less smokes and loud music, and the staff cooks the meats for you hence there’s less stress of over our under cooking. We ordered the Beef Combo, we asked the waiter to slow down the cooking because we couldn’t keep up with his pace. Another reason we like Baekjong is the corn and eggs cooked directly on the griddle in front of us. The banchan small dishes are also very good, and they will be replenished if you ask for more. The staff is doing a great job cooking, but we get the feeling he probably didn’t want to be there. We didn’t get 1 smile from any of the staff, which is fine with us.

This place had wonderful costumer service, their servers were extremely kind. And me and bf came in and it was our second time coming to a bbq, so I was hoping we’d get an outcome. Right off the bat, they had wonderful side options like the Horse raddish, salads, soy sauce etc. beautifully placed.
Since it was our second time, servers did not even ask, they helped place the meat on the stove for us! We ate and they helped us with the meat. They never seemed to falter or be irritated by our presence to lack of practice. Now that we know how to place meat, we’ll come back more experienced. Thank You!

I have been coming to this place for over 10 years and have always been a loyal fan. However, I was quite disappointed with the meat quality during my recent visit. While the meat in the combo was okay, the Beef Tongue we ordered separately was unfortunately very tough and chewy. Considering the price, it definitely didn’t feel worth the extra cost this time.
On the bright side, the service remains fast and attentive. Also, the corn cheese and steamed eggs served on the side never fail to make my kids happy. I truly hope the meat quality returns to the high standard it used to have so we can continue to enjoy our family dinners here.

My first time here and I’m so damn happy with how good everything was. Roy was such a sweetheart and a very nice server. I loved his energy and it was fun chatting. The food was really yummy.. as much as I don’t don’t eat a lot of cabbage, the kimchi stew was incredible. I loved the Ramyun.. even mixed with that with the kimchi stew. That was so damn banger. I’ll for sure come back with some more friends.

Pork belly (삼겹살) and pork jowl (항정살) are true winners. Accompanying wasabi dipping sauce, spicy miso, scallion salad, dumpling wrappers and pink turnip kimchi make for excellent accompaniments. Complimentary egg soufflé and corn-cheese, a nice added touch of hospitality.
Service staff kindly grills for you.

It’s so good! The staff were all courteous and our waitor was happy to give suggestions and was very patient with us! He clearly was working very hard and I kept finding myself saying thank you to the point where I was probably being a bit annoying, haha! This was a great experience and everything on the marinated combo platter was sooooo delicious! I think I’m going to be craving that seafood pancake for a while now!!! I am newer to Korean food but I know this place is supposed to be one of the best in OC and they didn’t disappoint at all! My family will be back!!!

This restaurant is very nice! Lots of food is provided and will definitely fill you up! The food is VERY good and its a must if you are in the area. Also, our server Sean was really nice and provided us with lot of food and helped us cook the meat (which none of my table dared to do lol) overall its a very good KBBQ restaurant, 10/10 would try again!

I had the pleasure of dining at this KBBQ restaurant, and it exceeded my expectations! The service was impressively fast and attentive, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable experience. The side dishes were excellent, offering a diverse selection that paired perfectly with the main dishes. The rice paper was spot on, soft, chewy, and just the right texture.
The highlight, though, was the meat. The quality was outstanding, especially when grilled over charcoal. Each bite was infused with that rich, smoky flavor that takes barbecue to the next level.

We had a large group and 2 kids that came to dinner. Didn’t need a reservation and they sat us fairly quickly.
The service was great! I really like that they cook all the food for you at the table, rather than letting you do it like in some places.
All the food was explained and they gave suggestion on what to combine it with.
All the cuts of meet tasted great and felt like quality meat.
Great atmosphere and overall a fantastic experience.
