Wow, what a great place I was in town for business and had to stop by and try out the sushi train. I think we ate way too much sushi. It was really awesome. The train goes around the sushi bar and you just grab whatever you want to eat and try all different types of sushi. Best thing about is you don’t have to get a whole roll. You can get just a couple of pieces and try all the rolls. Then has a lot of stuff on. It looks like I’ll have to keep coming back so I can try it all. People are really friendly drinks stay refilled and they will custom make anything you want on the sushi bar. Don’t hesitate to come in and sit down and have a good time. I even left with the T-shirt cause I’m gonna tell everybody about this really cool place.

Food was good! Had the teriyaki chicken, and a plethora of items from the sushi train! Overall good concept, just a bit worried of some stuff sitting on the train for too long. I often saw some items (not many) make rounds for a long while, and didn’t know if the lack of refrigeration would affect the fish for a potential customer. However, our server was great, and the teriyaki chicken was to die for.

We had the Carnival, Bomber, Sunny Pop, Galaxy and Pink Lisa. Everything was delicious and fresh. We ordered train size fresh which is the perfect portion. If you don’t like sushi they have plenty of other items that you can order. The Miso soup is delicious as is the fried rice and noodles. Lots of kid friendly options as well. Staff was very helpful and kind!

This was my very first visit to Sushi Train, and it did not disappoint! We went on a Tuesday evening and sat at the bar, which had a very laid-back vibe. Our sushi chef was fun to chat with and even made us Monkey Balls to go… absolutely delicious! The selections I picked from the train were light, flavorful, and full of umami. I’ll definitely be back!

To start off I will say, the concept is fun, which is why we pulled in to try it. But, this is not a sushi place for sushi lovers…this is a sushi place for those who like smothered rolls and imitation crab. The place was filthy! There were crumbs and hair all over the seats, there were food bits all in between the train tracks. Our server smelled so heavily of smoke I got sick to my stomach every time he came by, which on a positive note was often. The people were dressed and acted unprofessionally. One worker was standing behind the sushi bar on his phone half the time, the other had a shirt on that said “people, 1 star, don’t recommend” – and he works in a restaurant in a service industry! Just seems like it’s sloppily run. We had to ask for soy sauce trays, plates, and extra napkins they didn’t just seat us and provide them. The “ticket” we were provided at the end listed no prices so we just had to assume the person ringing us up, who we believed to be the owner, knew the price of everything we ordered. We chose to leave some of the food we had ordered as it just tasted off.

A second visit wasn’t bad. Sushi was good! Unfortunately if you don’t grab the plate off the train it may not make it back setting to you.

Overall I’ve found this entertaining and not a bad place to grab sushi!

The train plates here are more substantial and better tasting than all of the conveyor sushi places I’ve been to in the states. I had seven different ones, and they were all good. The prices are also better than those conveyor ones. If you’re seated by the chef, you can request off-menu rolls.

We gave it a 4.7 out of 5. It is not the traditional quieter Japanese restaurant, closer to a good quality diner, but the staff are still very polite and attentive. They accommodated some of my son’s requests very well and are all very patient, let us take our time figuring out our order and didn’t rush, and kept up with drink refills.

As you can see on the menu, prices are very reasonable, especially appetizers. We only spent $85 on three drinks, for appetizers which included a combo platter, five sushi rolls and a special sushi plate. In total that was 86 pieces of food and a soup with three drinks.

The plating was very good here, nice and decorative with the right amount of toppings, very full, not skimpy. The roles were nice and thick too, not the thin ones or one’s padded full of rice like you get me some places. Portions were cut very uniform, and the ends of the rolls were just as full as the rest, unlike some places where the end becomes thin or can be skimpy with the filling. All of the rolls we had except one had extra sauces drizzled over it. Temperatures were proper as well, with the whole foods being hot and the avocado being nice and cool.

We liked it a lot and will be coming back.
