Mellow Mushroom always hits the spot! The pizza is loaded with flavor, super fresh ingredients, and that perfect chewy crispy crust they’re famous for. The pepperoni pizza bites are unreal soft, buttery, and totally addictive. Service is chill, vibe is great, and the food never disappoints. One of my favorite places to grab a delicious, reliable meal every time!

I can’t say enough good things about this place—you know it’s always wonderful. This location is especially unique, right there next to South Alabama. We haven’t dined in at this location yet, but we’ve gotten takeout a few times and have nothing but great things to say.
My girlfriend got some sort of salad that had everything you can think of with it, and even as takeout, everything was separated. It was so nice—so easy to deal with—and it was packed very well.
My pizzas were awesome. I got the hot honey and pepperoni and added mushrooms. We also got the Mighty Meat and added mushrooms and extra marinara. They were large, fantastic, and the whole experience was very kind and very easy.

When visiting Mobile on our way to Texas, we discovered this great pizza joint. Located across the street from the University of South Alabama, this 70’s-era restaurant quickly served us a delicious Pacific Rim pie that was loaded with mozzarella, honey ham, applewood-smoked bacon, caramelized onions and pineapples. We added mushrooms in place of jalapenos. We split a small pie and added a Greek salad and Cobb salad. A super dinner served by Stacy, an intelligent, caring young lady.

My family and I (around 20 of us) gathered the Mobile Mellow Mushroom this past Monday evening. We had anticipated only 12 -13, but the numbers kept inching up, and I have to say, the staff was incredibly accommodating, especially our server, Emily! It was most assuredly a high stress situation, as they also had another large party on the patio, as well as the normal single tables coming and going.
Emily was truly outstanding!! We were loud, I’m sure, kids running back and forth between tables, people changing seats, etc. She handled it with professionalism and grace. Our food & drinks were served in a timely manner, the checks distributed correctly. We all left there smiling, having totally enjoyed our little reunion thanks to your wonderful staff and the marvelous Emily! Thank you and kudos to a job beautifully done !

The cooks cannot evenly put toppings on a pizza though. Every pizza iv gotten has had no meat on some slices and too much on others. it gets annoying

I had lunch here with my niece today because we’ve enjoyed the location in Enterprise for many years. Unfortunately, today was a major disappointment. We ordered two calzones: I had the Sausagefest, and my niece had the cheese. Mine had unmelted mozzarella inside, and the meat was cold. Her calzone was missing the ricotta entirely.
Whoever is supervising the kitchen at this location needs to be replaced immediately. Whether this was due to incompetence or laziness, it’s unacceptable—food safety is not a joke, and someone could get seriously hurt. It’s disappointing to see a few careless individuals damaging the reputation of an otherwise wonderful restaurant.

We had dinner at the Mellow Mushroom in June, 2023. We ordered a medium pie. It was pretty good. We didn’t finish it. But that was the plan. Better too much than not enough. And the larger pie wasn’t much more.
We did find the building quite warm. I really should call it hot. But to be fair, we were not all that far from the kitchen with the pizza oven.
The decor was different, but we liked it for that reason. The prices we felt we reasonable. So for what it’s worth, it was pretty good. Not the best pizza we’ve ever had. But was quite good and I have no problem recommending them for a pizza.

Ok I’m giving Mellow Mushroom 5 stars because, simply put, there’s no reason not to. First, it’s the best pizza in Mobile. ❤️Sorry New York-Jersey-East Coast wannabes and your faux pizza purist fakeness, but it is. Extremely good. Service is always good. It’s not your Aunt Betty’s spotless kitchen and dining room but, come on, it’s a pizza joint… hovering over a college campus. So it is what it is, but yet it’s still pretty clean. I’m not into the bar scene and loud college kids, but I’ve never had an issue here either. It’s also pretty tight quarters inside. Still, nothing to take away a star. So take all that into consideration but just get here for the best pizza in town.

First time to this specific Mellow Mushroom and probably the last. The staff were pleasant and seem happy to be assisting us; service was good; no complain here. This one doesn’t look the same as others. I didn’t like the look, the setup, etc. The silverware were the cheapest quality I ever had at any restaurant. The metal was so thin I was afraid I would cut myself or even bend the metal just holding a folk while eating. To make my experience worse, there were out of some ingredients for our pizza (which they explained when we ordered); but running out of a key ingredient on a Saturday is probably a sign of poor management. I understand that sometimes your suppliers may fail you, but there should be a plan B (the nearest grocery store?). But please, improve the quality of your silverware. Are they being stolen so frequently???
