Had an amazing meal at this awesome local place. 10/10 flavor, service, speed. They hit on all cylinders on a busy Friday night. I’ll be back again and again! How awesome to have such a local gem here.

I ordered the spaghetti with broccoli and the penne seafood pasta. The food was okay overall—nothing terrible, but not really impressive either. The seafood pasta was creamy but a little heavy, and the flavors didn’t fully come together. The bread they first brought out was cold, so I ended up ordering garlic bread instead, which was much better.

The drink I had was amazing, definitely the highlight of the meal. The restaurant was super busy when I arrived, which made the atmosphere lively but also a bit overwhelming. Service was fine, but given the reputation and location, I expected the food to stand out more than it did.

The food and service was excellent. We had to walk through the back of the bar/service area to get to the dining area and parts of the restaurant wasn’t clean.

We stopped in for dinner on a road trip. Was a small town feel in Eureka, and that was pleasantly different than most other roadside restaurants. We had the cheese bread, toasted canneolli with roasted red pepper soup, lasagna, and of course pizza. I would definitely recommend

The server, Donna, was very friendly and warm. The food was just ok. The portion of manicotti was very small for the price (2 tubes for $15.99). The pizza was good, but the middle had a doughy crust. The side salad that came with the food was just lettuce, cheese, and one cherry tomato. It was too expensive, in my opinion, for the portion sizes.

Our first visit with our former neighbor who lives in Pacific now. Food & service excellent. It did remind me of being on the Hill in STL with main street charm. Best lasagna eaten in a long time. Only slight negative comment
It was so cold inside we started to rush our meal to get outside again. Hopefully next time will be functioning as usual.

There is a lot of different variables that are going through that I want to mention in my review. First and foremost, we love coming to Joe’s in Eureka. The only reason I gave my ratings the way that I did is because of the following reasons:

We support and love our local businesses!
The staff is friendly, and always willing to help!
The food is spectacular!
And we love seeing Joe and his wife when we go in!

Here’s the bad part of the review:
For the table of 9 that sat in the back part of the restaurant AND literally sat for over an hour and a half AFTER you already paid your bill, all I have to say is that I hope you enjoyed your meals, because my kids, ages 4 and 2, didn’t. They were starving and tired and ready to leave. Needless to say, I’m extremely disappointed in people who do this and have no common courtesy for other families waiting for eat, not to mention, with you sitting there that long AFTER you had already paid your bill, means that the restaurant is loosing money while the table isn’t being used or served. Highly highly disappointed. Meanwhile, it was my mother in laws birthday and we made plans to take her out for dinner. We ended up leaving after waiting for over an hour, and it was a total of 1 hour and 45 minutes before we were even considered to be sat. After leaving Hola I recognized the big party that was seated at Joe’s FINALLY leaving, so that means there my were there even longer after we left.

What did we do in the interim? Walked over to Hola in Eureka, got sat down immediately and served food immediately and left within 34-45 minutes TOTAL!

Joe and family, we love you and we will always support you and your business, but this was and is completely unacceptable. I hope you understand where I am coming from as a parent and as a human being.

Thank you!

I ordered the small margherita pizza. The first thing I noticed was all the grease on top of the pizza which was unappetizing. The pizza arrived hot which was nice. This pizza and a lot more cheese than other Margherita pizzas I’ve ordered in the past. This pizza also had diced tomatoes versus thin slices of the tomato which I also prefer. I was starving so I ate 4 pieces which were not tasty.

The service was great. I never had to ask for a refill. After dinner we were chatting amongst ourselves when the waitress came over and ask us to be quiet because we were disturbing other customers. Her delivery of the request was quite rude and could have been handled more professionally. Probably won’t be back.

My husband and I ate there a few days ago – first time and will also be last. I ordered the pasta con broccoli, and he ordered the toasted lasagna. We were both very hungry and ate our disappointing meals anyway. My pasta did not have the creamy, cheesy, rich sauce one expects when ordering pasta con broccoli. And my husband’s toasted lasagna was barely room temperature. Only nice thing I can say about their food: the bread was good.
