Probably one of the grossest things I’ve had. The chicken burrito . Chicken strip with small round potatoes and a heavy dose of mayo. It all tasted like McD’s. Never again and would have been better off with Taco Bell but I think the meat or fake meat is the same. Gross . Took a bite and toss the rest. Talk about cultural appropriation.

I was so surprised to find this Taco John’s in Tennessee! Their corporate headquarters is in my hometown of Cheyenne Wyoming so this is like a taste from home! I love Taco John’s especially the super potato Olay’s. They have the super hot green sauce that is amazing. Without that sauce, it would never be the same for me. Their breakfast menu is pretty awesome too. But I’m on my way back to Houston and I probably won’t see Taco John’s again for a while.

Drive thru, service was polite and speedy. Food was fresh but the taste was just okay, not as good as I remembered it being years ago. No bravo for the taco bravo, hard shell taco was really basic and bland. Potato Oles were the best part. Can’t really complain for a quick meal under $8 with a drink. Would go again if I had time to stop to eat so that I could try a taco salad with their nacho cheese sauce all over it – to see if that has changed, too. The young adults working the drive thru were polite.

The lady working the front might be one of the rudest. They got our order wrong which we were trying to explain while she talked over us. She then took the food and threw it in the trash. She completely wasted it when we told her we would keep it and just take our 2 missing items but she refused. The food itself was disgusting and extremely overpriced- so maybe she did us a favor by trashing the other food. Save yourself and go elsewhere.

So it was my first time to ever eat at a Taco John’s, I was met with the cashier saying “What can I get you” I replied with, ” This is my first time here I need a minute to look at the menu” She told me to let her know when I was ready and burned off to help her co-workers. Which of course I didn’t mind, she wasn’t rude, she was very nice and pleasant. I just want that clear. I placed my order, I got the chicken bacon and ranch burrito, the spicy beef and jalapeno burrito, and a chicken quesadilla.
The spicy beef and jalapeno burrito was the worst out of the three. The only thing I tasted was the jalapeno and the burrito itself was not even spicy. Not even the jalapenos were hot.
The quesadilla was the second worst. I mean it tasted okay, but apparently the person that made the quesadilla must have called in when they were teaching about cutting a quesadilla. The quesadilla I got was cut in such a way that might have been considered art to some weirdos out there. One cut was the size of a Frito, another one was like a parallelogram, and then the other half was cut horizontally. It was cut in such a random way that I was really confused because I had never seen this before. Not one cut from that quesadilla even remotely resembled a triangle. And who cuts a quesadilla horizontally?
The best of the three was the chicken and bacon burrito, which was surprisingly good. But not good enough for me to go back to this place ever again. The food aside from the chicken and bacon burrito, wasn’t great but it wasn’t bad either. And it definitely wasn’t spicy. It just wasn’t good enough for me to be a returning customer.
On the plus side they did get my order right so there’s that, and no one was rude so there’s a couple of positives there. They weren’t extremely busy, there was a few people waiting for their food but it wasn’t like it was jam-packed full of people. So I don’t know, so this really isn’t much of a complaint but rather just my overall experience with Taco John’s.

Just bought 6 tacos and a nachos. Absolutely the worst food I have eaten in a long time.I have brushed and used mouthwash and can still taste it. We ordered wings just to have something to eat. They used to be so good but clearly not anymore.

First time eating at Taco John’s. Menu looked great and food smelled great for a first impression. I ordered several items because I like traveling and eating. It also helps for quality reviews. Starting at the best to worst tatertots are spot on with seasoning, cinnamon choro was great, the street chicken tacos don’t have enough chicken, and the beef tacos taste like cheap chili seasoning. Overall it wasn’t that bad but Taco Bell is right around the corner.
Staff was great, dinning area was clean, and service was adequate.

Last time I’ll ever eat at a taco johns. I’ve tried 3 different locations in different states and it’s all the same. The meat was cold to mildly warm. Not gonna eat cold tacos!
