Vintage pizzeria serving thin-crust pies, toasted subs & Chicago-style Italian beef plus a full bar.

My favorite thin crust pizza in Waukegan, and probably Lake County. Consistent quality, friendly service, with a chill and cozy atmosphere.
Access and parking is fine. Not great, not terrible, as it’s on a corner on a busy street. The prices are reasonable compared to similar services in three area, especially considering the quality and reliability.
Overall, I definitely recommend this place if you like thin crust or tavern style pizza. The Italian beef is especially good.

Quonset Pizza is actually in a remodeled quonset hut. In addition to the excellent tavern-style pizza, they have bombers, wings, and other dishes on the menu. The atmosphere is comfortable, with mainly booths, along with a large room with tables for bigger groups. This restaurant is historic, and well-loved locally. Highly recommend.

I was randomly brought to Quonset Pizza on a chilly fall day in Chicago. The 1940s atmosphere set the stage for a nice tavern style pie. The first bite had me thinking, “this is some thin crust.” The thin crust had a nice crunch, however lacked the quality flavor to enhance the overall experience. The sauce was very nice. The cheese was good and well-portioned, but could use some extra spices to make the flavor fit better with the rest of the parts. The service was good and the price was relatively low. Overall, I give Quonset Pizza 3 stars just because this is Chicagoland and there are so many great pizza restaurants.

Horrible service I walked in at 4:45 hoping tonget served. It took them over 10 minutes to acknowledge me but thank god gio was courteous to help and take my order. I only ordered pizza and wings but it felt like an eternity waiting. People all around that came in after me were getting served their food and drinks right away. It almost felt as if they were only paying attention to all their white customers. I been to many places in the area and I definitely felt the awkwardness here for sure. I would rate this place less stars if it was possible the 1 is the lowest I can choose so it kind of forced me to rate them more than I would!

Been eating here for over 60 years best pizza ever!! Worth a trip north of Chicago if you’re in the area. If you’re not, you can order a delicious dozen pizzas delivered by The Shipping Point in Gurnee. They were fabulous very well wrapped and just as great as eating at the restaurant ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ my dreams have come true!

I came here for the first time because I heard great things about this place and had to try it for myself. I ordered a half cheese pizza and a salad. An older man brought out the food and almost seemed like he was avoiding the table my toddler and I were sitting at. He went to every surrounding table (yes, even the table right next to mine) asking if they ordered the pizza, until he finally decided to come over to my table. I mentioned that I was also waiting on a salad. The man looked at me as if I did something to upset him. When he did bring the salad, he slammed it on the table and ran away as if the kitchen was on fire. Time for the check, they brought me someone else’s bill. After discussing my experience with local friends I have heard that this restaurant does discriminate against black/brown people. As far as food quality the pizza was good, but the Pepsi was flat and salad was boring. Staff is disorganized and not very friendly, the food isn’t worth the disrespect. PLEASE spend your money where you are valued.

Old school charm, which is really nice! It would remind you of an old dinner off of a dirt road. They also have gaming to keep you busy. Though, the food was a little subpar. It is not how I remember it to be in the 90s.
They didn’t really have a lot on tap, and their wasn’t much variety to the menu. It’s also pricey. They do have bottled beer and cocktails, which looked pretty delicious.
The only thing I enjoyed were the sweet chili wings. Top notch!! Great flavor, for sure!!
Tim was great with service while we dined!
